V. CONCLUSION
Investigators must adequately document the crime scene. He/she shall personally collect all
specimens found at the crime scene and preserve them for further examination by Forensic Chemists. Collecting
physical evidence is vital in determining how the crime was committed. As the investigating officer, it is preferable
to collect as many samples as possible so that when one among these is contaminated (especially on the biological
evidence), there is still an available supply. This is also the most vital link in order to help identify the suspect.
This is essential in identifying the perpetrator as it links a person to the crime scene. This evidence found shall then
be the basis of the court to determine the innocence or guilt of a person accused of a crime. This is how important
this step is.
Also, Based on what our group discovered, we can say that these activities are highly beneficial. We understand
how to obtain evidence properly, which we know is essential and can be used in court. As an investigator, we can
say that it is difficult to work, and every evidence collection and storage must be done correctly because a wrong
action can destroy the lives of an individual.
