MONTESSORI LESSON PLAN

TITLE: WORD AND PICTURE MATCHING

OBJECTIVES/AIMS:

Children will learn phonics by matching picture to word

STEPS/PRESENTATION/PROCEDURES:

Invite the child to work with you.


Tell the child that you are going to match word cards with its correct image using
an application.
Upon opening the app, you will see a word card at the top of the screen and three
picture cards underneath.

Read the word at the top card and let the child do the same.
Then looks at the bottom three cards and name what you see on each card. Let the
child do the same.
If a child doesn’t remember the name of the object, review again.
Check if right by clicking on each picture card and listening to the word.
Then ask to move the correct picture onto the word that it matches.

The activity will end after all of the pictures and cards have been matched.
