MONTESSORI LESSON PLAN

TITLE: WORD AND PICTURE MATCHING

OBJECTIVES/AIMS:

Children will learn phonics by matching picture to word

Indirect:
Preparation for writing and reading

MATERIALS: AGE:
Tablet
Application from phonicsbloom.com 3- 6 YEARS OLD
(Match Card)

STEPS/PRESENTATION/PROCEDURES:

Invite the child to work with you.


Tell the child that you are going to match word cards with its correct image
through an application.
Show and explain to the child how the application works.
First, you will see a word card at the top of the screen and three picture
cards underneath.
Sounds out the word on the top card, then looks at the bottom three cards
and say what you see on each card.
Check if right by clicking on each picture card and listening to the word.
Then move the correct picture onto the word that it matches.
The activity will end after all of the pictures and cards have been matched.
Ask the child to do the activity.
