SPECIAL PROPERTIES LEUCHTEND 4BB PDR is a highly affine whitening agent for cellulosic fibres. The application
is performed by the exhaustion process. In case of native cellulosic fibres the affinity is high
and depends only slightly on temperature and addition of salt. At regenerated cellulosic
fibres the affinity is slightly less compared to that of native cellulosic fibres. However, by the
addition of salt the affinity can be increased.
When using optical brighteners in general it must be noted that already minor traces of
heavy metals lead to an impairment of the degree of whiteness. This can be avoided by
adding a complexing agent such as IMETEX SOP.
Do not expose the solutions to direct light.
COMPATIBILITY LEUCHTEND 4BB PDR is compatible with anionic and non-ionic products. Cationic products
may cause precipitations. Preliminary trials are recommended.
APPLICATION LEUCHTEND 4BB PDR is added to the liquor prior to heating up.
When optically brightening regenerated fibres by adding sodium sulphate the affinity is
increased, thus a very nice, brilliant white is obtained.
LUECHTEND 4BB PDR is very well resistant against hydrogen peroxide. This characteristic
allows an economic working procedure because bleaching and brightening can be effected
in one step. Guiding recipe for a peroxide bleaching in combination with LUECHTEND 4BB

STORAGE The product is not sensitive to frost. Shelf life 24 months in closed original containers
