APPLICATION PROPERTIES
SOFTEX CFC is suitable for softening all kinds of textiles. The following special features should be distinguished
easy to handle
very soft, voluminous touch
resistant to shearing and low-foaming, applicable in machines with high liquor turbulences
high yellowing resistance, suitable for white and coloured goods
no yellowing on denim articles
imparts anti-electrostatic effects to all kinds of fibres

free from silicone
APPLICATION FIELDS
SOFTEX CFC provides excellent handle effects on cotton, polyester, polyamide and polyacryl nitrile. The softener is
preferably applied by exhaustion process within a weakly acidic pH range. Due to its high substantivity, SOFTEX CFC shows
good results even in long liquor ratios and at low levels of application.
The application by padding is also possible requiring a pH value of about 6 to 7 in order to prevent an accelerated
exhaustion of the softener.
PROCEDURE
Mix SOFTEX CFC (flakes) with cold or hot water by stirring, heat up to about 80°C, keep this temperature and stir for
about 30 minutes until all flakes are entirely dissolved and a homogeneous emulsion results. Cool down to a
temperature less than 35°C by continuous stirring.
- a preservative for increasing the storage stability and a defoamer (e.g. 0.2% IMETEX DFM) when the product is applied in
machines with high liquor turbulences or high shearing forces, resp., to be mixed with the cold product (below
35°C) by stirring.
40 - 50°C; 20 minutes
pH 6.0 to 7.0
