Read the following text about dolphins. When you are through with the
reading, workout the activities that follow:

Dolphins

1. Dolphins are very clever animals. They


live in the ocean. They have blowholes
on their head. This is how they breathe in
the water. They breathe air just like
humans. Dolphins love to swim, and they
can slap their tail on the water. They like
to jump high out of the water and make a
big splash.

2. Dolphins have long beaks. They swim in a group of dolphins called a pod.
There are about 12 dolphins in a pod. They talk to each other with clicks and
whistling noises. They eat a lot of fish. Can you swim in the water like
dolphins!

3. Do you know that there are dolphins with 8 teeth and there are some with 250
teeth. Dolphins do not use their teeth to chew their food like you and I do.
They use their teeth to catch their food and then they swallow it whole.
