1. Distinguish between moral standards and non-moral standards. Cite some examples
to distinguish one from the other.
Other moral principles, including how to responsibly rear children, are more open to
personal interpretation. For example, most people would concur that fundamental needs
like ensuring a safe environment, food, housing, and education are important. Many people
may disagree regarding the morals that should guide how parents should discipline their
children.
Non moral standards refer to laws that have nothing to do with moral or ethical
principles. These criteria either lack ethical sense by nature or are not always connected to
morality. Basic examples of immoral standards include etiquette norms, dress codes, game
rules, and a variety of house rules.
Moral principles address issues that have a significant impact on people, either
negatively or positively.
Many non-moral norms do not fall under this category. In basketball games, for
example, obeying or breaking certain regulations may be important, but it does not always
have an impact on one's life or wellness.
I realize that moral and non-moral standards really are different from each other. There are
some rules that are necessary to obey but will not cause harm to anyone which is non m oral standars.
While in moral standard we can easily determine the wrong and right doing of a person and disobeying
it can cause harm physically or emotionally.
