1. GENERAL INFORMATION
This manual is valid for:

The serial number is indicated on the nameplates (the arrows show the position on the modules).

The manual has been drawn up and illustrated using the most up-to-date information available at the time of
publication. Any differences between the manual and the machine will be due to upgrades after the manual was
published. Variations, technical errors or typos will be revised in later editions.

3. GENERAL DESCRIPTION
GENERAL
The Processor holds four major sections: GUM SECTION
To apply a layer of gum to protect the plate against

To collect the overflow liquid from the developer

4. OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
PREPARATION FOR USE
Make sure the machine has been installed
according to the instructions.

IMPORTANT! See paragraph “CHEMICAL


SAFETY“ before performing this operation.

 Remove/pull the left and right lower side


panel to have access to the bottle probes.
 Make sure that the water arrives to the 3
machine.
 Make sure that the drain filter valve (1) is
closed and the filter valves (2) are in vertical
position (open).
 Place the developer overflow probe(4) into
an empty 20 l bottle.
 Place the replenish developer bottle probe
(5) into a full developer bottle.
 Place the fill developer bottle probe (6) into
a full developer bottle.
 Place the gum finisher bottle probe (7) into
a full gum bottle.

 Make sure that the developer and water

USING THE MACHINE

DEVELOPER CONDITION COUNTER


The status bars which show the condition of the
gum are displayed in the USER window. These bars may have 3 different colors:

Depending on the values in the Condition gauges GREEN: if the value is less than 100%
maintenance needs to be done. (plate volume lower than 5000 m2 or less than 40
days have passed since last maintenance).
These bars show the total m2 of plates processed
and the ageing of the gum (i.e. the number of days ORANGE: If the value is equal to or higher than
since the last maintenance). 100% (plate volume 5000 m2 - 5250 m² or 40 - 44
days have passed since last maintenance). We
recommend to do machine in this case.

GUM SECTION RINSE CYCLE


To perform a rinse cycle of the gum section, proceed
as follows:

 Lift the upper roller and pull it out from the


lateral bearing, positioned on the opposite side.
NUMBERING ON THE MACHINE

IMPORTANT! Position the rollers in the machine


in accordance with the numbering shown on the
rollers and on the machine.

 Lift the lower roller first at the right side of the


machine, than pull it out, being careful not to
damage the plastic bearings.
 The plastic bearings of the lower rollers are only
inserted on the roller shaft, verify that these are
placed on all rollers before placing them in their NUMBERING ON THE ROLLERS

Turn the machine off by switching the main switch

HOW TO REMOVE THE FILTER CARTRIDGE


Before removing the filter cartridge, it is necessary
to switch OFF the machine from the main switch.  Remove the filter cartridge.

CAUTION! To avoid any injury to machine and


operators, double check that all power is
removed from the Processor!

Proceed as follow:

 Although the filter is connected to the dev.


tank, it is not needed to drain the tank
before opening the filter.

 Place the two filter valves (1) in horizontal
position to close the developer circuit.
 Place an empty bottle (about 2 liter
capacity) under the filter and open the valve
(2) to empty the filter housing.

 Reinstall the cartridge in the filter housing


and screw on the filter, pay attention to

rubber-ring (5).
 Close the valve (2).
 Place the two filter valves (1) in vertical
position to open the developer circuit.

ATTENTION! To avoid any injury to machine,
double check that both filter valves (1) are in
vertical position! (open)

 When the filter housing is drained, unscrew


the filter housing (3).

5. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
