There are two kinds of program conducted for PLC. One is the professional circle where
one teacher in a certain subject area becomes the resource speaker which is attended by subject
area department. Its aim is to update teachers on current pedagogical practices.
The following are the objectives for the Professional Learning Community (PLC):
equip teachers with research – based teaching methods and strategies;
motivate teachers in designing their individual professional development growth; and
develop among teachers sound decision – making skills related to classroom
instruction challenges, establishing better relationship with colleagues and students,
and responding to students’ academic performance.
