Clearly, COVID-19 has impacted the entire cloud industry and fundamentally
changed how we all work. Unsurprisingly, our findings support this, with
remote working—once a hotly desired perk—now commonplace among AWS
professionals worldwide. Employees with the option to work from home full-
time increased from just 24% in pre-pandemic times to an astonishing 82%
during the outbreak. Heading into 2022, the evolution of remote and hybrid
working models will undoubtedly impact this figure, and we’ll be looking to
explore this trend further in next year’s survey.
