People think what kind of leader is better to create a good work environment.

For this
purpose, there is the leader who only orders, while on the other hand there is the emphatic
leader. In fact, one of the most important facets of empathy in leadership is listening. This
means giving space for people to voice their opinions in an honest way, without risk of
repercussion. In this way, leaders can listen to all opinions and then make a decision. So, this
type of leader generates better work environments. Therefore, in the following lines,
arguments will be shown to demonstrate this.

First, empathy in leadership is one of the keys to success of a modern firm like The
Fortune 500 company, small start-up, or non-profit. An empathetic leader can be increase
worker satisfaction and company productivity. Although, beyond developing personal
connections and being empathetic for being a good person, empathy is important in leadership
at work because it increases team members' trust, communication, and sense of worth.
Furthermore, A positive work environment contributes to greater employee retention and
greater output or rates of success.

However, there are the downsides of empathy. Over the years, Leaders have realized
that empathy is crucial in leadership. While that is true, they must be aware about the
emphatic leader, since it has a potential to do great things, but it can cause harm too.
Moreover, when you involve your emotions into decision making, they may be short-lived.
Also, if a leader was trying to empathize with their people without constructive feedback or
action, situations became worse. Then, the decisions that the leader can make are limited.
Also, when it comes to forming diverse teams, people may be affected by empathy when it
comes to work assignments and positions within a company.

To conclude, it should be clear that the importance of empathy in leadership cannot be

overstated. It is often the key to a company’s arch of success or spiral towards failure.
However, it is important not to take the idea of empathy hyper literally, believing that people
should take on and bear another's pain. Therefore, there is no wonder that increasing research
on corporate leadership points to the same answer: empathy is the most important leadership
skill.
