CONGRATULATING THE LOCAL GOVERNMENT UNITS (LGUs) AND BARANGAYS INCLUDING PUROKS
AND HOUSEHOLDS IN THE SEVENTH (7th) DISTRICT OF CEBU WHICH WERE CHOSEN AS AWARDEES IN
THE DIFFERENT CATEGORIES IN THE PROVINCIAL AND DISTRICT LEVELS OF THE SUGBUSOG PROGRAM
COMPETITION DURING THE AWARDING CEREMONIES HELD LAST JUNE 3, 2021 AT THE CAPITOL
SOCIAL HALL.

WHEREAS, the Cebu Provincial Government, under the initiative and leadership of Gov. Gwendolyn F.
Garcia, launched last year its SUGBUSOG Program (formally called Sugbuanong Busog, Luwas og
Himsog).

WHEREAS, it is aimed at attaining food security and sustainability and as a measure to help those who
have lost their livelihood due to the occurrence of the COVID-19 pandemic.

WHEREAS, the Cebu Provincial Government provided financial backing to the municipalities and
barangays, including puroks and households, within the province.

WHEREAS, it promised to give, as added incentive, away awards and cash prizes to the winners of the
competition determined by selected judges/evaluators.

WHEREAS, the following are the various LGUs, barangays, puroks and households which garnered
awards and recognition:

WHEREAS, this representation finds delight and shares the pride and honor of the aforementioned
winners from the 7th District of Cebu for their significant achievements and deems it apt and proper that
they be extended by this August Body its appreciation and compliments.

NOW THEREFORE, on motion by Hon. Christopher R. Baricuatro and duly seconded by

RESOLVED FURTHER, to furnish copies of this resolution to the concerned awardees for their
