When I ask you “how do you read it?
The answer is “Tree is to leaf as flower is to petal.”

Types of analogy answers


Example of Synonyms answer: big is to huge as small is to tiny
Example of Antonyms answer: strong is to weak as love is to hate
Example of Part & whole answer: wheel is to car as roots is to tree
Example of characteristics answer: bird is to air as fish is to water
Example of objects/purpose/function answer: pencil is to writing as crayon is to coloring
Example of cause & effect answer: earthquake is to tsunami as cavity is to toothache

1. How significant is analogy in your life as a student? (Tatawag ako ng 2 students dito.)
• By teaching us how to apply analogies to unfamiliar changes in our life, we can more
closely identify with our school and peers when challenges occur.
• We feel more connected with our teachers and classmates and believe that others are
care for us.
