Introduction

A fundamental type of interaction that grounds us is friendship. Much of the research on the

implications of technology on our interactions, particularly friendships. Ideally, your teen should vary

her methods of communication. While texting, liking posts, and messaging are useful, make sure your

teen is also putting some effort into her friendships( Sherri Gordon 2021).For many teens, texting is

the dominant way that they communicate on a day-to-day basis with their friends. Along with texting,

teens are incorporating a number of other devices, communication platforms and online venues into

their interactions with friends.

According to Lowell School, the Face-to-face interactions have been replaced by friends

supporting friends asynchronously—liking, commenting, or responding in a group chat within a certain

amount of time.(Moser,2018). In a study of Facebook and Twitter social media networks, Dunbar and

his colleagues found that social media networks exhibit a hierarchy of friendship and numbers of

friends that were extremely similar to "offline" networks.(2018). When it comes to social media, there

ware a number of positive aspects. For instance, teens can keep up with friends who move away and

make connections with others who have similar interests. They can even leverage social media to

build a positive online reputation — one that colleges and prospective employers find impressive.

Background of the Study

The researcher have identified a way to communicate in the current digital era,using the diffirent

social media platform as a student in Paaralang Sekundarya ng Lucban Intergrated School -Senior

HighSchool.Social media allowed student to be connected to one student in new ways and

smartphones have made this experience mobile. The ability to bring social with us has also meant

that remote connections may be able to share in some aspects of our embodied experience throught
the content we share. Several studies have explicitly considered that information sharing preferences

might hinge on more than individual desires and concerns and include the role of personal

relationship focusing on the role relationship or relational characteristics such as closeness and

frequency of communication. Studies that concidered both senders and receivers of communication

suggest that the mutual sense of awareness was often achieved through observing

others.Researchers have stressed that informations sharing on social media is not just about

accomplishing coordition and collaboration work task but also about enchacing ledings of

connectedness and supporting sociability.They have provided new tools to support such social

practices from sharing awareness cue within a couple to producing system than enchance

connectedness throungh a acuse of romote presenceamong friends and family.Across these

approaches,researchers have designed techologies to enhance both peripheral awareness of remote

others and direct sharing of users will them.

Methodology

A. Research Respondents

The respondents of our study are the Senior Highschool of Paaralang Secondarya ng Lucban

Integrated School (PSLIS). They are the ones who are knowledgeable enough to respond to the

issues raised in our study. The researcher need at least 100 Senior Highschol Students of PSLIS to

become our respondents in our study so researcher are conducting a survey and asking some

information.

Our study is situated at the Senior Highschool division of Paaralang Secondarya ng Lucban

Integrated School in Barangay Aliliw Lucban, Quezon

D. Scope and Limitation

This research started year 2022 - 2023. This study is limited to 100 Senior Highschool Students of

Paaralang Secondarya ng Lucban Integrated School (PSLIS) are respondents. This research

focuses in advantage and disadvantage of online friendships. The main purpose is to build

friendships carefully by using digital tools.
