Respected Sir,
Sub: - Engineers Security Scheme – Request to consider certain
factors in respect of premium and death benefit proposed in perspective
of cadre strength and risk factor – reg
****
The Engineers security scheme launched by the Telangana Irrigation
Engineers Welfare Society for providing lump sum death benefit to the
nominee of engineer employee in the event of his sudden demise while in
service from the corpus fund to be collected from the engineering
employees of the Irrigation department. We welcome the decision taken
by the Engineer-in-Chief( Admn) for having a supportive thought towards
the social security of the employees and supporting the welfare society by
providing domain link in irrigation HRMS website to facilitate easy
registration and payment by the employees.
In this connection our association after collecting the opinions of
majority members would like to represent few facts with regard to the
fixation of Contribution amount and lump sum death benefit proposed.
1. The premium to be paid may be proposed by considering strength in
initial cadres (AEE&DEE) , Risk factor based on age OR
2. Death benefit amount may be proposed by considering strength in
initial cadres (AEE&DEE), Service benefits from government and if
possible financial status.
We request you to kindly consider above parameters while fixing
the death benefit. A healthy discussion may be organized under the
headship of ENC (Admn) with the elected body of welfare society.
Further, it is pertinent to mention here that we have taken up
group insurance scheme as the present employee health scheme is not
meeting the present day medical treatment requirements as per the
opinion of majority employees. Further, the reimbursement procedure has
also become vey tedious and burden to employees to bear expenditure
initially.
In the circumstances we request you to take up a group health
insurance scheme for the benefit of young engineering employees in the
present pandemic situations.

Thanking you Sir,

Yours sincerely
