Aspire to Innovate (a2i) Programme had organized the second workshop on “Using Social media to Counter

Radicalism” at ICT Division on October 25, 2022. The interactive meeting had been presided over by Mr. NM.
Zeaul Alam, Senior Secretary, ICT Division while Her Excellency Ms. Nardia Simpson, Deputy High
Commissioner, Australian High Commission in Bangladesh had delighted the event as Guest of Honour.
Moreover, Mr. Imam Nahil, Manager of Australia Awards in Bangladesh had also been present.

On this issue, two presentations were given by Mr. Ishtiaque-ur-Rashid, Additional SP, Police Head Quarters
and Mr. Rubayet Bin Modasser, Digital Forensic Analyst, BGD e-GOV CIRT, Bangladesh Computer Council.

Multiple stakeholders were present from diverse backgrounds and a flow of interactive discussion had been
tailored followed by keynote speeches from the guests.

Ms. Nahid Sultana Mallik, Joint Project Director (Joint Secretary), a2i had completed a short course on this
topic from University of Queensland, Australia. As implementation initiative of her Return-to-Work (RWP)
Plan, this is the second workshop organized at ICT Tower. Everyone had expressed their solidary against
radicalism and suggested to organize more workshops regarding this challenging global issue.
