WHAT TO AVOID Long application process : It becomes a hassle for the candidates when they have to go through a long application process.
Lack of communication or no communication about the interviews or rounds that they need to be present in.
Extended hiring time : If a hiring process goes on for too long, candidates may lose their interest/will during the process.
One way communication – candidates are unable to contact the recruiter or avoiding the common courtesy of informing
candidates about their current application process/ recruitment stage they're in.
Ghosting the candidates in case of rejection without telling them reason for their rejection.
Hiring solely on recommendation: Interview them, test them out, and do background checks. The person recommending the
candidate may not know their entire story. This is to make sure every hire is right for the company.

WHAT TO INCLUDE Get candidates excited about working - Provide gift hampers and some new office accessories to new joiners
Have the candidates complete online personality assessments to assess for culture fit before applying. It is also easier to
adjust with like minded and socially inclusive people.
Use of VR to show people around the office - this will promote excitement and new comers will get a chance to discover
more about the culture and work space.
Throw a mixer where interested applicants can meet the personalities they are most likely to be working alongside.
Knowing the team before hand helps the candidate to be pre-paired and mentally ready.
