    What is the process of designing a show?

    1. Commitment
    - Think through the commitment level, you will have to devote a lot of time to
    this until opening
    - Become familiar with the material, read/listen to it over and over

    2. Analysis
    - Information about…
    - SPACE: what is the theatre space, what is there to work with?
    - BUDGET: how much money do you have to design with?
    - TIME: how long until the show opens/until designs are due?
    - Meet with designers and production, discussing what the show will be

    3. Research
    - Learn as much about the physical world of the show as possible

    4. Incubate
    - Clear your mind, step away from the project and let your ideas percolate

    5. Selection
    - Turning the ideas into a basic model, into a model, into a finished model

    6. Implementation
    - Show is designed, now it must be built
    - Draft the show! Draw it out
