Statement of the Problem, Objectives and Hypotheses/Research Questions

Dear Students

You are required to send assignments on your approved/ revised topics for research.

This assignment requires statement of the problem. You have to explain the problem you have
chosen for your research and also discuss how your research addresses this problem. Statement
of problem shall clearly explain how your research will help in finding solution to the problem
which you have chosen for research.

You are also required to formulate research objectives for your research.

Objectives should be in measurable terms. Please formulate objectives that you can actually
achieve through your research. See any thesis or article for reference. You have to achieve the
objectives of the study in order to complete the research.

After formulating objectives, also state research questions or develop research hypotheses.
You need to see any good research book to revise your concepts.

There should be a clear linkage between your topic, statement of the problem, objectives, and
research questions/ hypotheses.
