Electric Sharpener

Introduction
Electric sharpener is basically a device that sharpens a pencil automatically that operates on a
battery.It is quite easy to use and one can turb on the switch to start it.

Materials required:
 9 volts battery
 DC motor
 Jumper wires
 Momentary switch
 Sharpener
 Body material(sunboard/corrugated board/plastic building blocks)

Procedure:
1. 1.THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL OF THE BATTERY IS CONNECTED TO THE POSITIVE TERMINAL OF
THE SWITCH.
2. 2. THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL OF THE SWITCH IS CONNECTED TO THE POSITIVE TERMINAL OF
THE MOTOR.
3. 3. THE NEGATIVE TERMINAL OF THE MOTOR IS CONNECTED TO THE POSITIVE TERMINAL OF THE
BATTERY.
4. THEN WHEN WE TURN ON THE SWITCH THE CIRCUIT GETS COMPLETED THEREFORE IT STARTS
WORKIING.
5. THEN THE DEVICE GETS COVERED BY THE BODY MATERIAL.

Circuit
Application
People who are handicapped can use this. It can be used at classrooms.
Students need not have to carry sharpener every time.

Conclusion
Overall, it’s a great device to install in classrooms and other educational institutions.
One need not have to bother about power supply since it has a battery backup.
