GİRİŞ OKUNACAK

The American Red Cross was founded nearly hundred and forty years ago and has
over the years been providing disaster relief and emergency assistance to Americans.
Being a non-profit organization, The American Red Cross draws its support from
public donations and volunteerism. Its main goal is to support victims of disaster by
providing relief and assisting in the preparation and response to emergencies.
Lets talk about the STRATEGY;
ARC's main strategy is directed towards making the world a better place by helping
victims of the disaster to overcome their current situation and step up on their feet
again.
The company's main focus is on strengthening fundraising through leveraging of
activities to coordinate processes of fundraising, change management, revitalization of
the Red Cross brand and improvement of teamwork through improved
communications and training for all volunteers. These strategic objectives are aimed at
meeting the vision and strategy of the organization which focuses towards making the
world a better place.
Most importantly, ARC has implemented an improvement strategy which is expected
to be effective in the next five years. The plan comprises of four elements which
include initiatives, goals and scorecard, direction and strategic foundations. This
strategic planning is meant to prepare for future challenges and improve the
effectiveness of the response with the help of guiding priorities and sustainable growth
throughout the incoming years.
SWOT ANAYLİS AND ALTERNATİVE STRATEGİES
İn our opinion, We did a SWOT analysis of the ARC organization and we have a few
alternatives and suggestions about this organization. I want to explain them.
SO STRATEGİES (strength and opportunities)
Since the ARC has a strong internal financial position due to the huge amount of
donations it receives annually, it should focus on using its financial power to offset the
negative feedbacks thrown at them. The ARC should ensure that the next disaster that
hits a low-income, the organization will be well prepared to respond in the quickest
possible proceeding to save many lives like never before. This will go a long way in in
sending the message to the public that the organization has learned from its mistakes
and is committed to operating fairly and efficiently.
WO Strategies( weaknesses and opportunities)
The number of board members as currently constituted are way too many. As such, the
organization should ensure that it comply with the Senate proposals that it cuts its
board membership from fifty to at least twelve . Additionally, as the committee had
proposed, the organization should ensure that each of the board members with the
exemption of the presidential appointees are all elected by delegates during the
organization's annual convection. This would mean that the board members would of
high integrity and elected officials who can make the needed decisions as required.

ST strategies; ( strenght and threats)

The organization should use its position to reassure the public that it is committed to
administering its services to all people and regions in America. As such, the
organization should swiftly respond to the next disaster like never before showing the
public that it still have what it takes to help them as expected.

WT Strategies ( weaknesses and threats)

With the organizing facing a lot of negative publicity from the general public like
never before, the main objective would be to curb the impact of such negative
publication. In terms of the way forward, the organization should pause and evaluate
what it got wrong as well as proceeding to lay plans of how it can deal with that
problem. Through pausing, the organization would be able to consider all the proposal
made by the Senate Committee and determine which ones they would adopt.
Additionally, the company would be to find new strategies that would go. along in
improving their operations, and saving their image in the process. Pausing allows a
company to evaluate what is working and what is not working . One effective strategy
to adopt would be involve local groups at the grass root level at all times. Reducing the
number of board members would equally be not enough which means that the
organization should ensure that seeking greater diversity within its ranks.
RECOMENDATİON
The management of the organization we are talking about is quite different and
difficult. Red Cross leaders should use social media more effectively. The fastest and
most effective way to provide donor and volunteer supply. We have seen the power of
social media in many social events that have happened before. Managers lead in times
of crisis and generally in the field. In such a process, the speed of communication
networks is very important. They can provide much faster supply by using social
media for basic needs such as regional blood needs, food needs, and shelter needs.
They should also use technology and social media effectively in blood donation.
