PREFACE

VSstuvidya is a traditional science of manifestation of the creative

thinking of 4ilpis. Vastuvidya is one of the main branches of Indian culture

through centuries. India had made a very large contribution in the field of

mathematics and VSstuvidya. These should be evaluated comparing it

with modern science. In this thesis, I am trying to establish the

mathematical arrangements and standardisation's in Vastuvidya.

Dr. P.V. Ouseph, Head, department of VSstuvidya, Sree

Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit, Kalady was my supervising

teachers under whose guidance I was able to prepare this thesis. I am

deeply indebted to him for his personal attention , valuable suggestions

and constructive criticisms without which it would not have been possible

for me to pursue and fulfill this endeavour.
