ACKNOWLEDGMENT

I, the undersigned have been a regular research scholar in the department

of Sanskrit Assam University since 15-09-2006 under the guidance of Dr.
Snigdha Das Roy. the then H.O.D. of Sanskrit. During my research work her
scholarly and affectionate guidance inspired me highly to prepare such a thesis
for Ph. D. I am deeply indebted to her for the precious guidance and supervision
I received from her. So, my heartful thank goes to my respected supervisor Dr.
Snigdha Das Roy for the first time. I am also grateful towards all the faculty
members of Sanskrit department. It is a matter of remembrance 'The Second
World Congress' on vedic sciences was held in B. H. U between 9th to 11th
February, 2007.1 got an opportunity to witness and attend such a congress along
with my father who was invited to present a resarch paper 'Vedic sciences deal
with three regions of eternal space' During that period I got an opportunity to
have a neighborly residing with Prof Swapna Devi, present H.O.D of Sanskrit
as wellas Dean, School of languages Assam University and Dr. Sukhamoy
Bhattacharjee in the guest house of Srikrishna Madhva Mandir lying on the bank
of the Gangas for about one week. That academic association with the scholars
of the world and the liberal attitude of those scholars attracted me to go through
the education life. At that time Prof. Swapna Devi highly inspired me for this
research work. I can not forget her association at Banaras for those days. I am
grateful to her husband Dr. Sukhamoy Bhattacharjee, the former principal of
Cachar College also. I also offer my thanks to Dr. Haripada Chakroborty, the
former H.O.D Sanskrit, Assam University, Dr. Sankar Bhattacharjee, the former
Reader of Sanskrit department Assam University for their valuable suggestion.
I like to thanks Dr. Bagirathi Biswas, Reader, Assam University for her blessing.

to complete the work as soon as possible, I am thankful to him for his inspiration.

My praise worthy regards are to my father Prof. Birendra Singha, the
Rtd H.O.D. of Sanskrit G.C. College, Silchar, who sometimes clarified certain
critical concerns of vedic phonetics and accents whenever I was in confusion
and asking him those concerns. Without such a help it was very difficult on my
part to go through the subject matter of Rigveda Pratisakhya. To complete the
work the role of my mother is incomparable. Since the day when I started my
work she has been supporting me with immence affection. My humble thanks
are also to my mother.
I shall be in debt if I donot mention the names Sri Satyajit and Dhone
Sinha who with great patience and sincerity composed my thesis including its
Printing and Binding. So I pay my thanks to the entire staff of Sarala Drawwave.
