What is this type of insurance?


This product is designed to meet the demands and needs of those who wish to protect themselves against unforeseen
domestic emergencies such as plumbing, drainage, security and boiler & heating system breakdowns,which may impact the safety
and
security of your home, potentially rendering it uninhabitable. This optional extra is managed and provided by
AXA Assistance (UK) Limited.

What is insured? What is not insured?


✘ Any
claim where you have left your home unoccupied for 30
An emergency caused by:
consecutive days or more
✓ Complete failure or breakdown of your primary heating/hot water ✘ Any
costs incurred before notifying AXA Assistance (UK) Ltd of a home
system resulting in no hot water and/or heating including loss of emergency
pressure due to a fault ✘ Flexible
hoses along with the breakdown, leak or damage to domestic
✓ Internal hot and cold water pipes between the main internal stopcock appliances
and internal taps ✘ Replacing
external overflows, cylinders, hot and cold water storage
✓ The cold water storage tank tanks, radiators, immersion tanks and sanitary ware
✓ Impact damage to, or mechanical failure of, a toilet bowl or cistern ✘ Septic
tanks, swimming pools, and hot tubs

Are there any restrictions on cover?


! Loss or damage arising from emergencies which were known to you
before the start date of this policy
! Any loss where you did not contact AXA Assistance (UK) Ltd to arrange
repairs
! The excess payable per claim as show n on your Schedule

! Disconnection or failure of mains services by a utility company or any


equipment or services which are the responsibility of the utility company
! Cost of trace and access to locate the source of the emergency.

Where am I covered?
✓ The house or flat shown on your policy schedule, its integral (built-in) garages all used for domestic purposes only in the United Kingdom. It does not
include detached garages, sheds, greenhouses and other buildings.

What are my obligations?
• You must notify AXA Assistance (UK) Ltd as soon as reasonably possible once you become aware of the incident
• Arrange to pay the £25 excess
• This insurance policy is not designed to replace your buildings and/or contents insurance and will not provide assistance for normal day to day maintenance
at your home that you should carry out, nor does it pay for replacing items that wear out over a period of time or replacement of parts on a like for like
basis where the replacement is necessary to resolve the immediate emergency.
• Not use threatening or abusive behaviour or language, or intimidation or bullying towards all staff and suppliers.

When and how do I pay?


The cost of this optional extra will be added to your main policy premium and paid using the same payment method.

When does the cover start and end?


Your chosen start date 28/06/2022
Your policy end date 28/06/2023

How do I cancel the contract?


You can cancel your policy at anytime. Please contact our Customer Service department on the telephone number that can be found on your latest
insurance schedule or back of your policy booklet.
l If you decide to cancel this optional extra product within 14 days from the date you receive your policy or the date your policy starts whichever is the
later, we will refund the premium paid.
l If you decide to cancel this optional extra product after the 14 day cooling off period, there will be no refund.
