Description:

The bank of New York Mellon corporation is an American worldwide banking and financial services
industry habits investment and dedicated to helping it's clients manage and financial assets.

Contributions :

 Work received through Jira ticketing tool on weekly sprint following the Agile methodologies.

 Based on documents received we start working in Dev region by create logical data objects on
the physical data objects and make changes in the ldo queries.
  ldo’s are profiled and analyzed each fields values, patterns and all percentages, configured
inference options , added some filters according to the requirement.

 Created Business Rules based on the Dimensions like Accuracy, Completeness, validity,
Consistency.

 Added rules to profiles and ran profiles check the valid and invalid records count.

 Pushed all valid and invalids from profile to new scorecard created and made drill down of those
records to analyze.

 Communicated with the Data steward regarding scorecard review and getting sign off mail on
the work.

 Added bridge entries i.e SQL insert scripts to the database and run the custom dB and parallelly
we develop invalid mappings for scorecard and check counts.

 We move the code from DEV region to SIT to test the code. And moved to Uat region by raising
a Jira.

 Finally created production deployment check list and uploaded all documents into JIRA and
change Jira status to Resolved.

Description:
CNA Financial Corporation is a financial corporation based in Chicago, Illinois, United States. The purpose of
the company was to provide accident and health insurance to the Customers.
The data present in their warehouse related to their operations is maintained in various systems like
oracle. It stores terabytes of Premiums, Claims and Accounting information which is given to customers. The
purpose is to correct the emails, to validate incoming address and other data cleansing.

Role and Work:

 Worked closely with the Business analyst to get the complete requirements and clarifications on
the data quality rules.
 Understanding the data quality requirements and creation of Business Rules documents, Detail
design document and technical document DQ reports.
 Created Logical data objects to create custom views and doing profiling of the data for
cleansing, standardizing and validation.
 Used address validator transformation to validate the address at source level i.e, application
level customer address, email, phone.
 Development of mappings and mapplets which is reused at different mappings.
 Various kinds of transformations were used to implement simple and business logic.
Transformations used are parser, standardizer, address validator, webservice consumer,
match, key generator etc.
  Worked on resolving issues and involved in deployment activities.
 Extensively used parser transformation to split email columns in the source level by using
regular expression in the properties.
 Generated scorecards and acquired the valid values of the columns and its percentages. Edited
the scorecards and pushed metric valid values.
