First Of All, What Is A Salary?

A Salary Is a fixed amount of money or compensation that is paid to an

employee by an employer or company in return for work performed.

On average Rs. 30,000 - Rs. 50,000 per month is a good salary rate to live
comfortably in Chennai. This is when we consider the average standard
of living. This will include factors like transportation, groceries,
personal expenses, etc. Due to these factors the expenses
can vary in different cases.

Next What Does The Term Promotion mean?

Promotion is an increase in a professional employee’s basic annual

salary. Which is accompanied by movement to a higher salary level
and a change in job title, for example an employee can move from the
position of vice president to the position of senior vice president. A
promotion results in a permanent and significant increase in the
employee’s duties and responsibilities. And as a consequence of this
permanent change the employee will experience an increase in the
scope and complexity of function of the particular position which
he/she is at.
