STUDENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Specific objectives for student intern


(stated in CHED Memo Order no.104 series of 2017 or THE REVISED GUIDELINES FOR
STUDENT INTERNSHIP PROGRAM IN THE PHILIPPINES (SIPP) FOR ALL PROGRAMS)

1. Provide student with opportunities to apply relevant knowledge and skills acquired from
formal education to actual work setting.

2. Enhance the knowledge and skill acquired in formal education of student interns through
employer-based training in order for them to become more responsive to the future
demands of the labor market;
3. Develop the life skills of the student interns, including those relevant to the values of
professionalism and work appreciation. The student interns are expected to acquire soft
skills necessary to address the employers such as communication skills, interpersonal skills,
financial literacy etc; and
4. Acquire a professional work ethic in the course of internship

Learning Outcomes
By the end of the internship, student must have:
1. Acquired the learning competencies and skills specifically the current techniques in office
practices and procedures and development in office system and technology;
2. Applied their theoretical knowledge, skills and experience to an actual work environment;
3. Gained comprehensive and realistic perspective of the day-to-day office activities;
4. Reflected on their qualities and commitment vis-à-vis the demands of the office
personnel;
5. Developed their interpersonal and communication skills as they expose with the different
office personnel;
6. Developed their life skills, including those relevant to the values of professionalism, work
appreciation and work ethics.
7. Advocated for your own learning in alignment with internship goals;
8. Developed strong networking/mentoring relationships.
9. Developed self-understanding, self-discipline, maturity and confidence;
