1. Introduction

Most Research articles in many disciplines are organized into standard sections. Although these
sections may vary by discipline, common sections include:

● Abstract
● Introduction
● Materials and Methods
● Analysis
● Results/Findings
● Discussion
● Reference

The article which was written by Beenu Singh*, Manisha Gahlot and Anita Rani is reviewed
based on the above criteria

2. The Abstract part of the article

An abstract is a short summary of your (published or unpublished) research paper, usually about
a paragraph (c. 6-7 sentences, 150-250 words) long. A well-written abstract serves multiple
purposes:

● An abstract lets readers get the gist or essence of your paper or article quickly, in order to
decide whether to read the full paper;
● An abstract prepares readers to follow the detailed information, analyses, and arguments
in your full paper; and, later, an abstract helps readers remember key points from your
paper.

Based on the above uses and definitions of Abstract the Article didn’t prepare readers to follow
the detailed information analysis and arguments of the author and some ambiguity words also
used such as UV. More over the article didn’t help readers to remember key points from the
paper.

In the Abstract part of the Article the following contents were not fulfilled. These are the context
or background information of the article; the general topic under study; the specific topic of the
research, the central questions or statement of the problem, the rationale, and the goals of the
research.
In general the Abstract part of the Article failed to include

1. Objective,
2. methodology used
3. the results and
4. conclusion part of the article

Research articles in many disciplines are organized into standard sections. Although these
sections may vary by discipline, common sections include:

● Abstract
● Introduction
● Statement of problem
● Literature review
● Materials and Methods
● Results and Discussion
● Reference

3. The Introduction Part

The introduction to an academic article is the first section of the paper, immediately following
the abstract. One of the most important functions of an introduction is to answer the question
‘why?’ why was the study performed, and why is it interesting and/or important? Given that the
introduction is the beginning of the paper, it also serves to tell the reader why they should read
the rest of the paper and prepares them to understand the importance and implications of the
results.

To clearly establish the context for the study, the introduction contains four main components:

1. General background information
2. Specific background information
3. A description of the gap in our knowledge that the study was designed to fill
4. A statement of study objective, and (optionally) a brief summary of study
The introduction should, flowing from the most general information at the beginning of the
section to more specific information as the text continues. Let’s take a closer look at each of
these elements in turn.
Based on the above truth the Article lucks a description of the gap in our knowledge that the
study was designed to fill and a statement of study objective, and (optionally) a brief summary of
study. The description of closely related previous studies, as discussed above, should clearly
outline a specific gap in our knowledge or understanding of a specific question or phenomenon
in the field were not stated properly.

4. Statement of the problem

A statement of the problem is used in research work as a claim that outlines the problem
addressed by a study. The statement of the problem briefly addresses the question: What is the
problem that the research will address?

The ultimate goal of a statement of the problem is to transform a generalized problem

(something that bothers you; a perceived lack) into a targeted, well-defined problem; one that
can be resolved through focused research and careful decision-making. Writing a statement of
the problem should help you clearly identify the purpose of the research project you will
propose.

Based on the above truth the Article written by Beenu Singh*, Manisha Gahlot and Anita Rani
lack any statement of the problem in his part of the article. There was no well-defined problem
and there was no any part /section/ for statement of the problem in his article.

5. Review of Literature

A review article, also called a literature review, is a survey of previously published research on a
topic. It should give an overview of current thinking on the theme and, unlike an original
research article, won’t present new experimental results.

The objective of a literature review is to provide a critical evaluation of the data available from
existing studies. Review articles can identify potential research areas to explore next, and
sometimes they will draw new conclusions from the existing data.
Based on the above evidence the Author failed to include the literature review part in his article.
The Author didn’t

● Provide a comprehensive foundation on his  topic

● Explain the current state of knowledge
● Identify gaps in existing studies for potential future research
● Highlight the main methodologies and research techniques used in his article.

6. Materials and Methods

The materials and methods of the article should include the following points. These are

● What kind of research method did the authors use? Is it an appropriate method for the
type of study they are conducting?
● How did the authors get their tests subjects? What criteria did they use?
● Is the sample size representative of the larger population (i.e., was it big enough?)
● Are the data collection instruments and procedures likely to have measured all the
important characteristics with reasonable accuracy?
● Does the data analysis appear to have been done with care, and were appropriate
analytical techniques used?

Based on the above measurement the materials and methods used by the author was not fully
expressed or well stated. Total sixty students (U.G, P.G, Ph.D. students of GBPUA&T
Pantnagar) were selected. We don’t know the total sixty students were representative for the
sample size used by the author. The research method used by the author was not known or
defined well, the criteria used was not expressed sufficiently,

In this article the data were not complete and directly support the conclusions the authors' draw
about their research question. The type of data analysis software was not mentioned the formula
used to select the sample and the population was not included in the article.
7. Results and discussion

The results section is a section containing a description about the main findings of a research,
whereas the discussion section interprets the results for readers and provides the significance of
the findings. This section should not repeat the results section. Some of the common reasons the
results and discussion sections might cause reviewers to reject a manuscript are (Bordage, 2001)

● confusing tables or figures

● inconsistent or inaccurate data
● potential variables that are not reported
● over interpretation/under interpretation of the results

To avoid these problems, you can use an organized structure, such as outlines, points or
subheadings, to write the results and discussion section. For the results, figures and tables must
be clear so the readers understand the message (Hofmann, 2013).

In the discussion section, outline your thoughts to defend your research and to emphasize the
significance of your research. Use good writing, clear argumentations, and logical explanations
in this section to support your conclusion (Hofmann, 2013).

The Results and discussion section should include the findings of your study . The findings
include:

● Data presented in tables, charts, graphs, and other figures (may be placed into the text or
on separate pages at the end of the manuscript)
● A contextual analysis of this data explaining its meaning in sentence form
● All data that corresponds to the central research question(s)
● All secondary findings (secondary outcomes, subgroup analyses, etc.)

● Tables, graphs, and charts are good indicators that this is a research article. The tables
should represent the data in a clear and readable manner.
Before we are tried to see the results of the study for this article we should see the objective
of the study. The objective of the article was not mentioned clearly so it is impossible to
connect the results of the study with the objective of the article.

8. Reference
Referencing is an important part of academic work. It puts your work in context, demonstrates
the breadth and depth of your research, and acknowledges other people’s work. You should
reference whenever you use someone else’s idea. Referencing

● helps you to avoid plagiarism by making it clear which ideas are your own and which are
someone else’s
● shows your understanding of the topic
● gives supporting evidence for your ideas, arguments and opinions
● Allows others to identify the sources you have used

There is a reference for the article used by the author but it is impossible to say that it is
sufficient for the article written by the author. Moreover it is impossible to be sure some of the
references have relevancy for the study.
