The CyberArk PAM Telemetry Tool provides customers with the much- tool enable customers to track
needed insight into the usage of their CyberArk Privileged Access Manager their usage of the CyberArk

The CyberArk PAM Telemetry Tool is available for all CyberArk Privileged Access Manager (Cloud and On-Premises)
versions. Users with full access to cases (ability to open support cases) can leverage a user-friendly Telemetry
Dashboard within the CyberArk Technical Community to get faster insights and benchmarks on their usage – including
data refresh perform on a periodic basis (the data refresh default is scheduled to run on the first day of the month).

For Privilege Cloud customers, no setup is required – this is done automatically. For Privilege On-Premise customers,
the PAM Telemetry Tool can be downloaded on the CyberArk Marketplace. For best performance, the PAM
Telemetry Tool should be installed on the same server that hosts the Password Vault Web Access (PVWA) or the
Central Policy Manager (CPM).

A: Yes! As we encourage all customers to utilize the tool, we also encourage partners to help customers install,
configure and utilize the Telemetry tool.

Q: I’m concerned about my data going to the cloud. Can I encapsulate my data before uploading it?
A: In addition to WAF inspection, the data is encrypted using SSL encryption and sanitized using Java Schema
Input Validation.

Q: Can I run the tool on a weekly basis?


A: Yes, you can set how often it runs with a simple change in configuration. Search for “Modify the CyberArk
Telemetry Task settings” on docs.cyberark.com for the step by step instructions.

Q: Can I export the telemetry data to my own BI system in addition to sending to CyberArk?
A: Privilege-On-Premises customers can export a JSON file to their own BI systems.
