Foreword
本说明书介绍了 K12 系列发动机的主要结构、技术参数、主要附件的技术规格与数据以及使用和维护方面
的基本知识,并对一些常见故障及其排除方法作了初步的介绍。
This instruction manual introduces the main structure, technical parameters, technical specifications and
data of main accessories basic operation and maintenance knowledge of K12 series engine, as well as
some common faults and troubleshooting methods.
为了使机器的优越性能得到更好的发挥,并保证机器的安全运行,请您在使用之前首先详细阅读本使用说
明书,正确认识、了解与掌握 K12 系列发动机的使用和维护要求,并特别注意以下的“运行安全注意事项”。
In order to give full play to the effectiveness of the machine and ensure its safe running, please carefully
read this instruction manual, know, understand and master the operation and maintenance requirements
of K12 series engine, and pay special attention to the following “precautions for safe running”.
随着社会不断发展和需要,发动机将不断优化和提高,并不断增加变型设计的产品,除特别重大的设计变
型外,本说明书不再作更改,因此过了一定的时间后说明书的介绍可能与实际的发动机有一定的出入,请
以实物为准,敬请广大用户加以注意和谅解。
With the constant social development and demands, the engine will be optimized and improved
continuously, and the variations will be launched as well. Except some significant design variations, this
instruction manual will not be changed anymore. Therefore, users are kindly requested to pay attention
to and understand that the instruction manual may be different from the actual engine after some time.
本说明书只对基本型发动机详加说明,变型产品不作列举,请用户注意和谅解。

运行安全注意事项!
Precautions for safe running!

1. 机油压力感应塞、水温感应塞、转速传感器这些零件非常重要,凡有失灵者,须立即更换,以确保这
些零件能正常工作。否则会造成因缺油烧坏曲轴或因缺水致使气缸盖过热而开裂。
1. The parts such as the oil pressure sensing plug, water temperature sensing plug, and speed sensor
are very important. If they fail, they shall be replaced immediately to ensure normal operation. Otherwise,
the crankshaft may be damaged due to oil shortage or the cylinder head may be overheated due to
water shortage.
2. 凡在保养过程中更换机油滤清器时,应先将新机油滤清器灌满机油再安装,而且安装完成后,必须起
动发动机,并使其怠速运转,然后仔细观察滤清器有无渗漏现象,若有则须及时排除,否则会导致缺油烧
坏曲轴、轴瓦等运动副零部件。
2. In case of replacement of the oil filter during maintenance, the new oil filter shall be filled with oil

before installation. After the installation is completed, the engine shall be started and run idly.
Carefully observe the filter for leakage. If there is any leakage, troubleshooting shall be done
immediately, otherwise, the movable parts including crankshaft and bearing shell will be burnt due to
oil insufficiency.
3. 每次起动发动机,须怠速运转 3~5 分钟,方可切换工频转速运行。不允许冷机突然合闸加载。否则
会损坏各种相应零件、加速发动机运动件的磨损及损坏增压器,从而缩短发动机的使用寿命。
3. During each start, the engine shall run at idle speed for 3-5 min before it runs at the power
frequency speed. The high throttle operation in the cold state is not allowed. Otherwise, it will
damage the corresponding parts, accelerate wear of movable parts of the engine and damage of the
turbocharger, thus shortening the service life of the engine.
4. 不允许高速、大负荷运转状态下突然熄火停机,怠速运转 3~5 分钟后再停机。否则会损坏增压器及
其它运动件,从而缩短发动机的使用寿命。
4. It is not allowed to stop the engine with sudden flameout under high speed and heavy load, and the
engine shall be stopped after it has run idly for 3-5 min. Otherwise, it will damage the turbocharger
and other movable parts, thus shortening the service life of the engine.
5. 应经常检查进气管路是否漏气、空气滤清器是否堵塞,水箱液位和机油液位是否正常,若有以上现象
则必须及时维护,否则会损坏增压器和导致拉缸等故障;如发动机功率明显下降,应及时检查维修。
5. Check the air leakage of the intake pipeline and blockage of the air filter regularly, and check if the
radiator level and oil level are normal. If any of them occurs, timely maintenance is required,
otherwise, the turbocharger damage and cylinder scoring will occur; if the engine power drops
significantly, the complete vehicle shall be checked and repaired timely.
6. 凡发现发动机工作不正常时,应及时处理。
6. If the engine fails to work normally, the corresponding measures shall be taken in time.
7. 发动机运转时严禁靠近旋转部件,严禁直接触摸发动机的高温部件(例如排气管和增压器等);停机
后不要立即打开水箱盖以免烫伤。
7. The engine is not allowed to be close to rotating parts during running, and the high temperature
parts (such as exhaust manifold and turbocharger) of the engine can’t be touched directly. Do not
open the radiator cover immediately after stopping the engine to avoid scald.
8. 发动机须按照用户保修手册的要求及时进行走合保养。
8. The running-in maintenance must be carried out on the engine in time as required by the User
Maintenance Manual.
9. 冬季结冰地区冷却系统必须使用防冻液或采用保温措施,否则由此引起的机体冻裂等故障,不予实行
免费保修。
9. The cooling system shall be filled with antifreeze fluid or take insulation measures in icing areas in
winter, otherwise, the resulting engine block fault will not be covered by free-of-charge warranty.
10. 严禁自行拆卸或维修电控有关的零件。
10. It is strictly forbidden to remove or repair electronically-controlled parts.
11. 严禁用户擅自拔插各接插件。

13. 严禁以水或任何清洗液冲洗发动机。

14. 按规定放燃油预滤器积水、更换预滤器滤芯总成和精滤器滤芯总成。
14. Drain out water accumulated in the fuel pre-filter, and replace the prefilter element assembly and
fine filter element assembly as required.
15. 蓄电池执接入发动机之前应接一个蓄电池总开关。长时间停机应关闭蓄电池总开关,以免蓄电池长时
间给充电机励磁电路通电,损坏充电机励磁电路。拆卸蓄电池或维修保养发动机之前,应先关闭蓄电
池总开关。
15. A battery main switch shall be connected before the battery is connected to the engine. If the engine
is stopped for a long time, the battery main switch shall be turned off to prevent the battery from
energizing the exciter circuit of the charger for a long time and then damaging the exciter circuit. The
battery main switch shall be turned off before the battery is removed or the engine maintenance is
done.
16. 根据包装箱外的注意事项进行吊装、运输,贮存发动机的环境应通风、干燥、清洁、无腐蚀性物质,
发动机有效封存期详见发动机包装箱上说明。
16. The hoisting and transportation should be carried out according to the precautions marked on the
packing box, and the environment for storing the engine shall be ventilated, dry, clean and free from
corrosive substances. The effective storage period of diesel engines is indicated on the packing
box.
17. 发动机的标牌含有发动机的基本信息,包括:标定功率、标定转速、系列号、生产日期、执行标准等。
K12 系列发动机标牌位于缸盖罩顶面。
17. The nameplate of the engine contains the basic information of the engine, including: nominal
power/speed, serial number, date of manufacture and execution standard. The data plate of the K12
series engine is located on the top surface of the cylinder head cover.
18. 发动机型号和出厂编号打印在气缸体下缘中间的平台上。
18. The model and factory number of the engine are printed on the platform in the middle of the lower
edge of the cylinder block.
19. 安全警告包括:敬告用户、曲轴转向、转动危险及高温危险,分别贴在发动机的缸盖罩、飞轮壳、水
箱散热器、缸盖罩靠排气管侧。
19. The safety warning includes: notice to users, crankshaft rotation direction, rotation risk and high
temperature risk, which will be respectively pasted on the cylinder head cover of the engine,
flywheel casing, radiator and cylinder head cover close to the exhaust pipe side.
20. 包装箱内随带下列随机文件(使用说明书、随机备件清单、随机工具清单、合格证、装箱清单),用
户开箱后应及时清点。
20. The following accompanied documents (instruction manual, list of accompanied spare parts, list of
accompanied tools, conformity certificate and packing list) are attached in the packing box, which
shall be counted timely after unpacking.
21. 发动机喷油系统是精密部件,应使用正规加油站的优质柴油机才能确保喷油系统的正常使用。
21. The engine fuel injection system is a precision component, so the high-quality diesel of a regular
gas station shall be filled to ensure the normal use of the fuel injection system.

1. 发动机概述

产品特点
Product characteristics
YC6K 系列发动机由奔驰最新一代重机设计团队 AVL 公司设计开发,集成了当今世界最新内燃机技术成果,
拥有技术发明专利 60 多项,应用专利 100 多项。
The YC6K engine is designed and developed by AVL, the latest generation of heavy machine design
team of Mercedes-Benz. It integrates the latest internal combustion engine technology achievements in
the world, and has more than 60 technical invention patents and more than 100 patent applications.
动力强劲,功率覆盖 320~565PS,同时满足了中国道路与非道路发动机动力需求。
The engine has strong power within the range of 320-565PS, which can meet power demands of road
and non-road engines in China.
各项技术性能指标领先国内同类发动机,关键性的油耗指标、比重量指标超越了世界先进水平:最低比油
耗为 189g/kw.h,比世界平均水平的 198g/kw.h 降低 4.5%,机油燃油耗比低于 0.1%,主要结构件采用了
高强度蠕墨铸铁材料,发动机重量比传统发动机重量减少 15%,排放起步国 3,超越国家非道路发动机发
动机排放标准。
The technical performance indicators are ahead of the domestic similar engines. The key fuel
consumption indicators and specific weight indicators surpass the world advanced level: the lowest
specific fuel consumption is 189g/kw.h, which is 4.5% lower than the world average level of 198g/kw.h;
the specific fuel consumption of engine oil is less than 0.1%; main structural parts are made of
high-strength vermicular graphite cast iron; the weight of the engine is 15% lower than that of the
conventional engines; the engine adopts China III Exhaust Emission Standard, which is higher than the
emission standard of national non-road engines.
发动机开发累计完成 50,000 小时台架可靠性试验,首次在发动机行业运用可靠性增长技术,突破了中国
制造的可靠性弱势;独创性引入精确燃烧和电子控制技术、发动机逆向横流冷却技术、高强度材料技术的
成功创新运用,集成了世界顶级内燃机零部件制造企业的最新技术及成果,大幅度提高了发动机使用寿命,
批产发动机 90%寿命达到 1.25 万小时以上。
The engine has cumulatively completed a 50,000-hour bench reliability test during its development, and
first adopts the reliability growth technology in the engine industry, thus breaking through the reliability
weakness of “Made in China”; it takes an inventive step to introduce the accurate combustion and
electronic control technology, successfully applies the engine reverse cross-flow and cooling technology
and high-strength material technology, and finally integrates the latest technologies and achievements of
world top internal combustion engine parts and components manufacturing enterprises, thus greatly
increasing the service life of engine. The service life of 90% engines from mass production reaches
12,500 hours or above.
齿轮室后置,进气管集成于缸盖,系统采取模块化总成集成,整机布置合理、结构紧凑、美观大方。
The engine has gear chamber at the rear and intake manifold on the cylinder head, and the system
adopts a modular assembly, so the engine has a reasonable arrangement, compact structure and
beautiful appearance.

主要用途及适用范围
Main purposes and scope of application
发动机在环境温度为-15℃~40℃、海拔高度 2000 米以下的环境条件下能正常工作,在 2000~2500 米的
海拔高度范围内,动力性有少许降低,在环境温度低于-15℃或高于 40℃或海拔高度超过 2500 米时,用

户应向玉柴联合动力技术、服务部门咨询,采取有效措施或使用相应专用发动机以保证发动机能正常工作。
The engine works normally at the ambient temperature of -15°C~40°C and the altitude below 2,000 m,
and its power performance slightly decreases at the altitude of 2,000~2,500 m. When the ambient
temperature is lower than -15°C or higher than 40°C or the altitude is above 2,500 m, the user is
recommended to consult Yuchai technical and service department, and take effective measures or use
the corresponding special diesel engine to guarantee the normal operation.

3 发动机主要结构及安装维护
3 Main structure, installation and maintenance of the engine
3.1 气缸体与气缸盖
3.1 Cylinder block and cylinder head
气缸体是发动机的基本骨架,顶面通过气缸盖螺
栓固定气缸盖,底面安装主轴承盖。
The cylinder block is the basic skeleton of the
engine. The cylinder head is bolted on the top
surface and the main bearing cap is installed
on the bottom surface.
气缸体右侧(从前端看) ,装有发电机、燃油滤
清器、高压油泵、启动机等。左侧装有、机油冷
却器、机油滤清器等。
There are components such as the generator,
fuel filter, high pressure fuel pump ad starter on
the right side of the cylinder block (view from
the front end). And there are components such
as the oil cooler and oil filter on the left side of
the cylinder block.
气缸体前端面装有水泵、风扇轴、皮带轮等

因主轴承盖与机体配镗,安装主轴承盖时,不能
任意互换,方向不能装反,必须按编号和方向装
配,编号打在主轴承盖上面,方向箭头直接铸出,
指向发动机前端,配主轴承螺栓前,应在螺纹及
头部支承面加少量机油。拧紧螺栓时不允许一次
拧紧到位,应按顺序依次分5次均匀拧紧,主轴
承螺栓拧紧后轴向力应大于230kN。

per the order The axial force of the main
bearing bolts should be greater than 230 kN
after tightening.

气缸盖为每缸四气门整体式缸盖,集成进气管,
顶置凸轮轴

each cylinder with integrated intake manifold
and overhead camshaft.
凸轮轴轴承盖与缸盖配镗,安装轴承盖时,不能
任意互换,必须按编号装配,编号打印在凸轮轴
轴盖上。
Because the holes on the camshaft bearing
caps are bored when the caps have been
assembled with the cylinder head, the caps
cannot be interchangeable during installation.
They must be installed according to their
number which is printed on the camshaft
bearing caps.
由于气缸盖螺栓所受的预紧力较大,为减少变
形,保证密封可靠,对气缸盖螺拴拧紧力矩的大
小及顺序应予严格控制,注意需分4-5次均匀拧
紧,缸盖螺栓拧紧后轴向力应大于180kN。装配
前在螺栓螺纹部份加少量机油。
As the cylinder head bolts are subject to higher
pre-tightening torque, to reduce deformation
and ensure reliable sealing, the tightening
torque and sequence of cylinder head bolts
shall be strictly controlled. The bolts shall be
uniformly tightened in 4-5 times. After the
tightening, their axial force shall be greater

燃油系统组成:油箱、油水分离器、输油泵(在高压油泵上集成)、燃油滤清器、高压油泵、共轨管、低
压油管、高压油管、高压连接管以及喷油器等零部件组成
The fuel system consists of the fuel tank, oil-water separator, fuel transfer pump (integrated on high
pressure fuel pump), fuel filter, high pressure fuel pump, common rail pipe, low pressure fuel pipe, high
pressure fuel pipe, high-pressure connecting pipe, fuel injector, etc.
喷油器的安装步骤:
Fuel injector installation steps:
1、 将喷油器用力(1~2)kN压入缸盖;
1. Press the fuel injector into the cylinder head
with a force of (1~2) kN;
2、 用喷油器压块调整喷油器至适当的位置(高压
油进口对正高压连接管) ;
2. Adjust the fuel injector to a proper position
with the injector pressure block (align the
high-pressure oil inlet with the high-pressure
connecting pipe);
3、 预装高压连接管,连接管螺栓力矩为(15~20)
N.m;

电器系统由蓄电池、减速启动机、充电发电机、进气加热器构成。
The electric system is composed of battery, gear-reduction starter, charging generator and intake heater.
发动机出厂时除蓄电池及蓄电池开关外,机带所有电器已接好线,用户只需按接线原理图接用户控制端即
可实现对柴油机的操控。
Except the battery and the battery switch, all electrical parts of the engine have been wired properly
before the engine delivery. So the user only needs to connect the user control terminal according to the
wiring diagram to realize the control of the diesel engine.

接线端子简介 K88端子功能为ECU上电和停机功能,受钥匙开关控制或发电机组监控仪燃
Brief description of wiring 油电磁阀控制端控制,K88端子失电则停机。上电发动机启动前需给K88端子
terminal 供电。
The terminal K88 is used for powering-on/off of ECU, and controlled by the
key switch or the fuel solenoid valve control end of the generator set
monitor. When the terminal K88 is powered off, the engine will stop running.
Therefore, the terminal K88 shall be powered on before the engine start

示灯强亮时,一般表示出现了电子或电气方面的故障。此时操作者如非经过专门培训的维修人员,勿擅自
维修,而是尽快到玉柴联合动力特约维修站进行维修。
The faults of electronically-controlled engine might not be the electronic or circuit problems; in most
cases, the faults mainly occur in the mechanical system and fuel pipeline which are the same to the
conventional engines; at this point, the fault indicator lamps may not come on, so the operator can
handle them according to his/her own experience. However, when the fault indicator lamp comes on, it
usually indicates an electronic or electrical fault. In this case, the operator, who is not the specially
trained maintenance personnel, must not repair it without authorization, but shall go to the service station
of Y&C Engine Co., Ltd. for repair as soon as possible.
在使用过程中发现故障指示灯变亮,如果带负载能力与正常情况下的感觉差别不大,那么说明引起故障灯
闪亮的故障不属于严重故障,可以根据情况决定是否立即维修,但时间不要拖太久,以免故障程度的进一
步加重;如果在做发动机加负载或减负载测试中,发现转速转速稳定时间过长或无法稳定,转速波动大于
1%且不受控制,应把柴油机停下仔细观察发动机的油路、气路和电路,看看是否有明显的漏油、漏气和
线束的接插件脱落、柴油机与电机连接盘松动的现象。
If one fault indicator lamp comes on during the use of the engine, and the load capacity is not much
different from that under the normal condition, it means that this fault not a serious one, so the operator
can decide to repair it immediately or not as appropriate, but avoids delaying it for a long time, so as to
prevent further exacerbation of the fault; during the engine acceleration or deceleration test, if too long
speed stabilization time or unstable speed occurs, the speed fluctuation is greater than 1% and the
speed is out of control, shut down the diesel engine to carefully check the oil passages, air passages and
circuits for any obvious oil leakage, air leakage, disconnection of the wiring harness connector, or loose
connecting plate of the diesel engine and the motor.
如果没有发现明显的故障,请不要自行拔插和拆卸有关部件,应该立即请维修站进行专业维修。
If there is no obvious fault, please do not remove or disassemble the related parts without authorization,
but immediately ask the service station for professional repairs.
如果明显存在以上现象,可以把这些管路重新上紧和插上脱落的线束接插件,重新起动发动机,测试怠速
和标定转速,如果问题依然存在,请及时通知专业维修站进行维修。
If there is obvious fault, try to re-tighten these pipes, re-connect the disconnected wiring harness
connector, restart the engine, and test the idle speed and the rated speed. And if the fault still exists,
please ask the service station for professional repairs.

总的原则就是,当故障灯变亮后,如果用户检查发动机发现有明显的油路、气路和电路故障,用户可以自
行解决,如果没有发现明显的故障,并且不影响正常的使用,可以选择合适的时间去维修站,如果存在的
故障影响了正常的使用,必须立刻联系维修站进行维修,不要自行盲目的检修。
In summary, in the case that the fault indicator lamp comes on, if the user checks the diesel engine and
finds that there is obvious fault in the oil passages, air passages and circuits, the user can troubleshoot
the fault by himself/herself; if the user finds no obvious fault and the normal use is not affected, the user
can go to the service station at a later time; if the fault affects the normal use, do not repair it without
authorization but contact the service station immediately for repairs.
