Any one of the topics given below to be written as per the guidelines given below

Poetry

1. How do the ideas conveyed in the poem “The Cold Within” relate to the society today?
Substantiate on the basis of experiences or events witnessed.

Prose

2. Describe the rural life as described in the story ‘A Horse and Two Goats’. Explain the clash of
cultures brought about in the story.
3. To read Ruskin Bond’s ghost stories is to transport oneself into an imaginary world where the
supernatural elements have a great sway over human life. Justify this statement.

Guidelines

Include the following information in your assignment

• Name of the lesson/poem/drama

• Topic i.e question chosen
• Introduction of poet/author
• Main content
• Bibliography
• 5 to 6 relevant pictures (coloured or black and white) can be included in addition to the written
matter

The project should be handwritten on project paper.

You may use black and blue coloured pens to write.

Entire assignment excluding pictures should consist of 8 to 10 pages

The project must be stapled and filed in a properly labelled slider file
