1. What is Wayfinding?
Answer: By definition, it is simply a set of tools and systems which helps users to navigate into
and within unfamiliar buildings.

3. Why is it important?

Exterior Way Finding - A user must be able to easily recognize the path to be taken after
entering and navigating through a location. They must be able to guide a third party who is
unfamiliar with the areas. The simplicity of access and thoroughness of the circulation and
orientation are additional crucial factors. Users must be able to link experiences they generate
to the path they travel. Users can identify essential features and landmarks because to the
imageability, which makes navigation easier.
a.) The map provides navigator to locate its location where he/she travel around the city.
It is easy to travel with the help of name of the streets and the color can be used as a
guide to follow.
b.) Street along Quezon avenue and P. Tolentino
- There is a statue that symbolizes Angono Rizal is Art Capital of the Philippines,
also a letter standee that can say “you are here in angono” that can be used as a
landmark. The street signage will help also the navigator to notice the entrance of
the Municipal Hall.
e.) Along Quezon Avenue street it has a signage for exit from Municipal hall, signage for
a terminal easy to access for travel.
f.) At the back of the Municipal hall along A. Ibanez street and Mauricia diaz street there
is a school, municipal trial court, tricycle terminal and near hospitals.
Interior Wayfinding - knowing where you are physically, and how to get where you want to be
in a space. Clear wayfinding design is intuitive and nonverbal. It helps users to access the
various spaces within a building, reducing stress and increasing efficiency
4.2 Paths/ circulation: distinct areas for movement to and from destinations
4.3 Landmarks or markers: objects/ elements used to indicate a position/area along a route or at
a destination
4.4 Nodes: a point in a network/ system at which pathways intersect or branch; usually a point
where a decision needs to be made
4.5 Edges: how the perimeter of a path, zone, or node is defined. These elements are explored
in the layout of spaces and circulation and the design of the physical spaces.
Observation:
The offices around Angono Rizal Municipal Hall are located outside the streets that can
cause pedestrian traffic and vehicle traffic, Is not safe for emergency event.
