How to upgrade

on XBit
JUST FOR XBIT WHICH ONLY HAS ONE UPGRADE BUTTON

This tutorial is only applicable to the XBit

u Download the upgrade file from the link we gave you or our web .
u Here is the download address on our web ,we upload the newest
software on it.
http://www.chison.com/data.asp?action=Software%20Update .Before
you download ,you may need register an account of our company .
u If the website don't have the latest software, please consult our customer
service personnel, we will use the amazon driver,wetransfer or Google
Driver to send you a download link.
u Confirm the version you download with after sales engineer.
Check the file in flash disk

u Step1:Prepare
u 1. Make sure the file has been moved to your flash disk
u 2. The file should be “.pkg” format
u Action: File must be stored in U disk root directory exists. We recommend
using FAT32 format flashdisk. Capacity not more than 16GB
Connect the flash disk to our unit.

u Connect the flash disk to the port beside the keyboard ,and check if the
flash disk is recognized by our unit .
Enter system setup interface

u Press setup key ,choose system.

u Or press system key on touch screen to enter setup interface.
Upgrade FW at first

u Click the upgrade button ,waiting about 1min , The system will
automatically analyze your package is correct
FW upgrade

u End of the analysis, will pop up a dialog box, contrast old and new FPGA
version,click yes to continue.
SW upgrade

u After finished FW upgrade ,it will shows a box, Comparison of old and new
SW version ,and click yes to continue SW upgrade.
SW upgrade

u CBit8 will automatically withdraw from the current software, software

upgrades in the background, this time takes about 5 minutes
u The progress may go twice ,than appear the dialog box ,click OK.
Finished

u After you clicked OK ,the machine will shut down automatically ,you need
boot it manually after it is completely shut down.
u Check the new version in system setup.
Attention

u Before using the pkg file ,make sure it just has one upgrade button ,not SW
and FW 2 bottons .
u Before upgrading, please make sure you confirm the current hardware
and software version to our customer service personnel.
u The upgrade process can't without electricity,also can not shut down
manually, otherwise may cause the machine unable to boot.
u Software upgrade may cause the change of the image parameters.
Solutions for Upgrade Failure

u 1 Error code 025 It means the software upgrade process of the

current system is not closed. Use another USB disk and restart he system,
try to upgrade again.
u 2 Error code 026 It means the system can’t verify the upgrade file.
Get the new upgrade file and upgrade again.
u 3 Error code 027 It means the upgrade file is corrupt. Use another
unzip tool or re-download the upgrade files.
u 4 Error code 028 It means the USB disk is not connected well during
upgrade. Check the connection of USB disk and restart the system, try
to upgrade again.
