IDENTITY THEFT ON SOCIAL MEDIA

What do you think about the current state of identity theft on social media?
Today, social media theft grows more prevalent
as social networks are further integrated with daily life.
Some scammers can easily use your personal information and photos
to create fake Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram accounts.
After that, they could use these fake social media accounts
to scam people out of money.
And this could seriously tarnish your reputation.
So you have to remember that
social media encourages sharing your personal information,
but reckless oversharing may endanger your personal safety and financial records.

Can you give me some of the ways you personally use to protect against
identity theft on social media?
In my experience, to protect against identity theft on social media,
you have to keep your personal information private and set strict privacy settings.
Moreover, you should use strong passwords
and set up two-factor authentication.
Additionally, remember to always log out of your social media accounts
and don’t tag or post your specific location publicly.
Finally, avoid clicking on links or opening attachments from unfamiliar sources,
and don't answer emails or calls from unrecognized senders.
