PART 1:
The magic door can sense many features of an individual but height, gender, weight, hair color,
and eye color are the main features that can be felt by the doormat. The sensor saves the
characteristics of the persons who lived in that home and then match these characteristics will all
the persons who came home. According to these features, the magic door grabs all the
information regarding the person and sends it to the circuit. The circuit generates two logical
conclusions according to the features; if it generates one, then it’s mean that A person lives in a
house and allows him to enter. If it generates 0 results, then it means that person does not live in
PART 2:
Explanation of features:
Magic door mat sense five features of an individual. For example, the height of an individual is
5.8, the sensor comes on one instead of 0 ,which means individual life in a house and may enter
if the weight of an individual is less than 90 then the sensor comes on 1 instead of 0 and will
enable him to enter if the gender of an individual is male that lives in a house the sensor comes
on 1 instead of 0 and allow him to enter. If the hair color of an individual is black, the sensor
comes on 1 instead of 0 and will enable him to enter. If the eye color of an individual is brown,
the sensor comes on one instead of 0 and will enable him to enter.
PART 3:
A (Height)
B (Weight)
C (Eye color) X
D (Gender)
E (Hair color)
A logic circuit having two or more input values and one output signal is known as an OR gate. If
any one of the input signals is high, the output signal will be high (logic 1). The logical addition
is performed by the OR gate. According to this logical circuit we used five OR gates and five
inputs (height, weight, hair color, gender and eye color) which generate one output (X). The
inputs are labeled as A (height), B (weight), C (Eye color), D (gender), and E (hair color). If any
one of these five features results in one, it generates the output of one, which means the person
lives in a house.

The above table shows who will enter the house and who will not. 0 indicates that the person’s
features do not match with the person’s features that lived in a home and don’t allow him to
enter. One shows that the person’s characteristics correspond with the whom who lived in a

Boolean expression:
A+B+C+ (D+E) = X
Plus sign is used for OR operation. The expression indicates that the sum of five inputs (A, B, C,
D, E) generates one output (X) and both sides of the expression are equal to each other.
PART 5:
When a person wants to enter the house the doormat since his features and assess them, if they
are not matched with a person who lived in, the door is not open it informs the person that his

certain features like height, weight, gender, hair color, and eye color does not match with the
person who lives in a house so he can’t enter in a home. The doormat ring alarm that is fit in it
and generates a voice that does not enter due to certain features does not match.
