"Homeschooling is becoming popular in many countries.

In your opinion,
traditional school or homeschool which is better for student learning and why ?

At the age of 12, Thomas Edison was basically tossed out of school at the age of 12
because he was “too dull” to succeed academically. After he was dismissed from his school,
his mom helped him set up experiments and let him do research to his heart’s content.
Thomas’ mom helped her son experience his learning passions. Homeschooling is
ubiquitous, it is applied everywhere in the world. Experts have argued about the
advantages and results of homeschooling. In my point of view, homeschooling
and traditional school both have pros and cons, they’re both as good as each
other depends on your child’s characteristic that determine which one is better.

Homeschooling – that is, parent-led home-based education; home education – is an

age-old traditional educational practice that a decade ago appeared to be cutting-
edge and “alternative” but is now bordering on “mainstream” in the United States. It
may be the fastest-growing form of education in the United States. Home-based
education has also been growing around the world in many other nations for
example: Australia, Canada, France, Hungary, Japan, Kenya, Russia, Mexico, South
Korea, Thailand, and the United Kingdom and Vietnam.

Research found there are about 2.5 millions of homeschoolers in the US. Its best
advantage is the flexibility, students can attends many online class as they want, at
anytime and anywhere with their connected device, their parents; or they can
schedule their own timetable to work, study and sport activities that is more
suitable for their own needs. Moreover, they can improve their organisational skills
and independency in their own life, which are needed when they grow up.

Homeschooling are also way more effective if your child is a gifted one and willing
to accomplish more academically than traditional school. If your child is a sport
talents who are full of training and exercise that cannot go to school, their parents
can teach them with the basics needed for everyday life. Research found that the
home-educated typically score 15 to 30 percentile points above public-school
students on standardized academic achievement tests.

On the other hand, the opposing claimed that homeschool students don’t have a lot
of friends and often stay at home. However, homeschool students are regularly
engaged in social and educational activities outside their homes and with people
other than their nuclear-family members. They are commonly involved in activities
such as field trips, scouting, 4-H, political drives, church ministry, sports teams, and
community volunteer work. Homeschooling do impact their social skills but in a
positive way, they are not subjected to the peer pressure, violence, drugs,
and other negative influences that are all too common in today's
schools. If you want your child to improve their social skills outside, let
them explore the world themselves, they will have their own way
making friends.
