Important person in history

Muhammad Ali Jinnah was an important figure in the history of Pakistan. He was a lawyer,
politician, and statesman who is widely regarded as the founder of Pakistan. Born in Karachi on
25 December 1876, Jinnah was the eldest of seven siblings. He was educated in Karachi and
London and went on to become a barrister at Lincoln's Inn in London in 1896. He returned to
India in 1896 and soon established himself as one of the leading lawyers of the country. Jinnah
was an active member of the Indian National Congress and served as its president in 1916.
Soon after, he left the Congress and joined the Muslim League where he became an important
figure in the demand for a separate Muslim state. He is widely credited for his tireless efforts in
leading the struggle of the Muslims of India for a separate homeland of their own. In 1940,
Jinnah formulated the Lahore Resolution that called for the establishment of an independent
Muslim state. After the independence of India and Pakistan in 1947, Jinnah became the first
Governor-General of Pakistan. He is widely regarded as the "Father of the Nation" for his
immense contribution in the founding of Pakistan. Jinnah passed away on 11 September 1948
in Karachi due to tuberculosis. He is remembered today as a great leader and symbol of
courage and determination. His portrait hangs in many important public and private buildings in
the country. He is celebrated in the form of national holidays, and his thoughts and ideas are
often quoted in national occasions. His legacy and contributions to the cause of Pakistan are
highly respected and remembered.
