ASL : My Vision for India @100 Years

YUVVAL BHASIN, VIII-C, Brilliants’ Convent School, New Delhi-34.

1. There is a famous poem by the great Indian poet Rabindranath Tagore

Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high.
Where the knowledge is free
Into ever-widening thought and action
Into that heaven of freedom, my Father, let my country

I envision my India in 2047 in accordance with above poem.

2. Historically, India has been mockingly and disrespectfully referred to as “The Land of
the Snake charmers, Elephants and Beggars”, “The Land of a Million Gods” etc.

3. Now, India has undergone a metamorphosis & is being referred to as “The Silicon
Valley of the East”, “The BIRTH PLACE of the IT industry” & “The World’s
Outsourcing Hub”

4. The goal of these next 25-years will be to build an India that has all the modern
infrastructure of the world, so that we keep on navigating the path of development.

5. I see the India of 2047 as corruption free India. We see what we dream, similarly, how
we envision India of 2047 will decide what revolutions we will adopt in the next 25
years.

6. I want to see India free from poverty, unemployment, malnutrition, corruption and
other social evils.

7. I see that in 2047 there is no hatred in the name of caste, religion and sect. Every person
who walks the streets of 2047 India is absolutely safe .

8. In the next twenty-five years, India will transform into a mighty nation for this, our
most important goal as a developing nation should be to work on economic fronts and
strengthen our economy by bringing some major reforms.

9. I have a vision that in coming times, India will emerge as one of the world leaders in
science and technology.

10. The glory of a nation is not complete unless it does well in sports too. I am hopeful that
our country will make a great advance in sports winning a number of Olympic medals
and international laurels.

11. I sincerely hope that my vision for a prosperous India in the year 2047 turns into
reality. After all, the sky is the limit…
