Entrepreneurship Research Journal

Call for Proposals for Special Issues

The Entrepreneurship Research Journal (ERJ) invites Proposals for Special Issues. ERJ Special Issues
(ERJ SI) are intended to bring recognition to new and cutting edge research in entrepreneurship. We would
like you to consider the possibility of engaging other scholars in this effort, as you wish. You might serve as
Guest Editor or Guest Co-Editor(s) along with an Executive Committee (EC) that includes a few other
leading scholars that you would like to work with in developing this ERJ SI.

ERJ SIs are organized in three major sections:

Editors’ Corner – lead-ins and cutting edge Invited Editorials (IEs) from leading scholars
Competitive Research Articles – 3 or 4 high-quality research articles with double blind reviews each
Commentaries – comments about articles in the ERJ, other journals or entrepreneurship research in general

ERJ Co-Editors will manage the reviews of submitted ERJ SIs. Inquiries may be directed to any Co-
Editors including: Theodore R. Alter, Pennsylvania State University; Mathew Hughes,
Loughborough University; Rania Labaki, EDHEC Business School; Thomas Lyons, Baruch
College, USA; Chandra Mishra, Florida Atlantic University, USA; and Ramona Zachary, Baruch
College, USA.

About the ERJ:

The Entrepreneurship Research Journal (ERJ) claims a unique domain that prioritizes publication of
multidisciplinary and international research within and linked to the field of entrepreneurship. The ERJ is a
scholarly outlet, not only for scholars in business and management, and economics, but also for scholars in
other fields who are of the entrepreneurial ilk. Notably, the ERJ seeks to encourage intellectual exchanges
among researchers from any field of study who focus on entrepreneurs and entrepreneurial activity in a
variety of contexts inclusive of corporations and family firms. Simultaneously, the ERJ facilitates research
scholars to think beyond the usual entrepreneurship assumptions.

As such a broad forum, the ERJ serves a community of international scholars from a variety of disciplines,
leading business and management and economics as well as sociology, political science, psychology,
organizational behavior, human resource management, finance, decision sciences, and others. The ERJ
includes both theoretical and empirical articles, with priority being given to high quality empirical research
that has managerial or public policy impacts as well as ramifications for entrepreneurship research overall.

Proud to publish the ERJ, De Gruyter is an international publishing house with more than 260 years of
experience partnering with exceptional scholars. Combining this strong tradition with modern innovation, De
Gruyter and the ERJ provide authors with an international presence and modern publishing technologies that
ensure their research reaches engaged readers globally. ERJ authors publish along with leading scholars such
as Ronald Coase, William Baumol, Howard Aldrich, Mike Wright, among many others.

The ERJ is positioned as a featured journal in a growing program of over 50 business and economics journals
published by De Gruyter. As an established publisher with an expanding international presence, authors’
work will be marketed in every major academic market in the world, with previous economics marketing
campaigns reaching readers worldwide directly. The ERJ is also featured at major conferences such as the
AEA’s Allied Social Sciences Association annual meeting. In addition, upon publication, authors’ work is
indexed in 40 major abstracting & indexing services including Thomson ISI and ABDC, among many others
