ABOUT THE INSTITUTION
SRM Institute of Science and Technology (Formerly known as SRM University) is one of the top-ranking University in India. It was established
in 1985 by the Founder Chancellor Dr. T. R. Paarivendhar. SRM IST is currently functioning in five campuses located at Kattankulathur, Rama-
puram, Vadapalani and Trichy in Tamil Nadu and the fifth campus at Modi Nagar, Ghaziabad with over 52,000 students and 3,200 faculty

ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT

The Department of Civil Engineering is one of the eldest and well-established departments in SRM IST. The department offers two undergrad-
uate programs namely Civil Engineering and Civil Engineering with Computer Applications and five postgraduate program includes: Structural
Engineering, Construction Engineering Management, Geotechnical Engineering, Environmental Engineering and Remote Sensing and GIS and
Ph.D program. In addition to this it also offers value education, foreign languages, industrial training, personality development courses, yoga,
instrumentation, computers, management, and economics etc., as part of the curriculum, which are essential requirements for any success-
ful Civil Engineer. Students gain practical experience from field visits, industrial visits, visit to dams and irrigation structures, construction
sites, etc. Students gain training in their field of study through summer internships. The thrust research areas of the department are concrete
technology, structural systems, concrete bridges, soil-structure interaction, modern construction materials, environmental studies and
wetland management etc. The faculty members contribute to academic and research development by publishing research article, patents,-
books and presenting papers regularly in international and national conferences. All the laboratories are well equipped with state- of-the-art
equipments.
B.Tech Civil Engineering programme at Kattankulathur Campus is accredited by Engineering Accreditation Commission (EAC) of ABET.
(www.abet.org) and National Board of Accreditation (NBA).

ABOUT THE CONFERENCE

International Conference on Civil Engineering Innovative Development in Engineering Advances [ICC IDEA-2023] is an amalgamation of
academicians and researchers to come up with innovative solutions for contemporary industrial problems. Innovative Development in Civil
Engineering is highly imperative to meet the future demands. The three days programme will witness the pooling of scientific information from
academic and research communities globally. The international conference will be a one stop destination that caters to solutions to all indus-
trial challenges – reduce material wastage, reuse and recycle materials, time and cost-effective projects, solutions to existing civil engineering
problems for societal benefits and better indoor living. It aims to develop a well-connected hub of people who can initiate innovative develop-
ment and to bridge the gap between research and practice. Latest findings and solutions (economic, environmental and social) will be
presented and disseminated to tackle global issues related to sustainability and innovative development in the field of Civil Engineering. The
objective of the program is to disseminate the knowledge related to the latest research in the field of civil engineering to the global research
fraternity, to promote the research activities in institutions, industries and to encourage collaborations among the researchers worldwide and
to create awareness among researchers regarding sustainability development. The main focus of ICC IDEA-2023 is to explore the new
construction materials, innovative construction techniques, rehabilitation procedure thereby disseminating the state of art technologies in the
field of civil engineering.

The organizers invite the researchers, scholars, professionals in industry and academics authors to submit the abstracts not exceeding 300
words on their original and extended research for presentation under any of the specified themes of ICC IDEA-2023 Abstract shall be sent by
e-mail as per the template given in the website.

PUBLICATIONS
All the submitted papers will be peer reviewed and further arrangements will be made for publication. Selected papers will be published in
Journals indexed in Scopus, SCIE, Web of Science and SCI (Only papers presented in the conference will be considered for inclusion) with
additional processing charges, if any.
