IPERS (Iowa Public Employees Retirement System)
Iowa law provides most public employees
with mandatory coverage under the Iowa
Public Employees Retirement System (IPERS).
The State of Iowa and DOT employees, through
payroll deduction, contribute to the IPERS
retirement plan.

Retirement Investors Club (RIC)


To supplement your retirement plan, the
State also offers a deferred compensation
program. The State matches employee
contributions on a 1 for 1 basis up to a
monthly maximum of $75.00.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT


We believe in life-long learning. As part of the team,
you’ll have the opportunity to improve your skills,
knowledge, and abilities for your current job and prepare
for new career challenges. Face-to-face workshops,
online training and workshops will help you hone your
technical knowledge, such as computer classes and
accounting, day-to-day skills including customer service
and communication and find explore what it takes to be a
supervisor or manager.
