Eating Disorder

1. Anorexia nervosa

Nutritional treatment:

● Provide positive regard, love, and acknowledgment of ‘voice within’ guiding client with
eating disorder.
● Behaviors and lifestyle changes to regain and/or maintain appropriate weight.
● Refer to structured(behavioral) program of nutrition therapy (documented time and
length of eating period, blenderized food or tube feeding, administer parenteral
nutritional therapy) per protocol.
● Weigh at regular intervals and document results
● Develop regular exercise and stress reduction program
● Consult with dietitian or nutritional support team, as necessary for long term needs

2. Bulimia

Nutritional treatment:

● Ascertain motivation and expectations for change

5. Rumination disorder

Nutritional Treatment:

● Rumination disorder treatment is relaxation that will help our body not to vomit and
strengthen our mind to break the habit.

6. Avoid/Restrictive food intake disorder

Nutritional Treatment:

● This disorder is more affected are children because many children are food picky in what
smell or don’t want to eat
