At present, we are living in a 21 century era where technology plays an integral part
in everyone’s life. Many teenagers nowadays are being dependent on technology.
Technology has been their buddy in everything. In addition, social media platforms have
been their modern diary. They are expressing their self, opinions, thoughts, and insights
through different social media platforms for it is way easier for them to share it to everyone.
After doing the task given to us which is to ask our friends about their impression to me
based on my social media account specifically “Facebook”. I think there is no
discrepancy between my online self and offline self. Most of them said that their impression
about me is that I am friendly since a lot of people are engaging with all my activities on
Facebook. They also said that I am into sports and music since I am sharing stuffs about
sports and music. Also, they’ve mentioned that I am a funny person because I always share
“memes” or funny stuffs. All these things are true about me, I am friendly online and offline.
I like making friends with people that I just met. I love sports especially basketball, volleyball
and table tennis. I am a bubbly person as they’ve mentioned that I am funny. I love changing
the mood of the people around me. I love to be their happy pill. With all these things
mentioned by my friends, I can say that there is no discrepancy between my online and
offline life. The factor that leads to not having discrepancy is the fact that I am ME. What I
project on social media is the real me. I am the same person online and offline. I think being
real and staying the same is important because you are setting the mind-set and impression of
