Assalamu’alaikum Wr. Wb.

Alhamdulillahirobbil ‘alamin. Assalatu wassalamu ala asyrofil anbiya iwal mursalin, wa ala alihi
wasohbihi ajma’in.

Good morning and happy greetings to all of us

I respect, Mr / Ms Teacher who was present

Dear, our English teacher

As well as friends in arms who are always happy.

Praise and gratitude we sing for the presence of Allah SWT. Who has given us so many blessings,
especially health blessings so that we can gather in this place.

Sholawat in terms of greetings we convey to Nabiyullah Muhammad saw. Hopefully with frequent
prayers, we will get his intercession on the Day of Resurrection.

Happy father, mother and friends. My standing here is none other than to deliver a speech entitled
“Don’t Approach Drugs”.

Talking about drugs, it seems that we all know that this addictive substance is very dangerous. Not
only is it dangerous for those who want to try it, it is also dangerous for anyone who is around and
dealing with drugs.

Let’s go back to religious guidance, that drugs in Islam are strictly prohibited, even unlawful because
there are so many harms.

Rasulullah Shollahu Alaihi Wasallam said:

“It was narrated from Umm Salamah ra, he said: “The Messenger of Allah has prohibited
(consuming) all substances that intoxicate and weaken the body.” (Narrated by Ahmad in al-Musnad,
and Abu Dawud in his Sunan, with authentic sanad)

It is very clear and firm that our religion prohibits any substance that makes the body weak,
damaged, and intoxicating for consumption, and our country also prohibits consuming drugs through
the Narcotics law and regulations in Article 1 paragraph 1 of Law No. 35 of 2009 which has been
made and implemented. So religion and government rules strictly prohibit consuming drugs.

Realize that drugs only offer pleasures for their users. Therefore, apart from learning science and
knowledge, we also need to strengthen our faith and piety to Allah SWT.

Father, Mother, and friends that I am proud of,

I hope that is the first speech I can deliver on this happy occasion. Going forward, let us strive to stay
healthy, keep the enthusiasm for learning, and at the same time promote the spirit of anti-drugs for
a brighter future.

Many apologies, I end;

Wasaalamu’alaikum Wr. Wb.
