TAX Terms
What is C2C?
It is a type of Tax terms.
C2C is done when the candidate has a different employer and the employer will be taking care of taxes of candidate.
When we will be doing C2C with the employer of the candidate in that case we do not need to worry about the taxes
of the candidate.

What is W2?
It is a type of tax term when we are doing W2 with a candidate it means that we need to pay his/her taxes which
means that we are the employer of the candidate or Consultant.

Basic Difference between Corp to corp or W2?


In W2 we are the employer of the candidate so we will pay the taxes of the candidate.
In C2C some other vendor is the employer of the candidate so he will pay the taxes of the candidate/consultant and
we do not need to worry about it.

What is 1099?
It is a type of Tax term where a candidate/Consultant should be a USC or GC holder and they will be paying their own
Taxes.

Can a USC or GC holder will do Corp to Corp if he is not having any employer?
A USC or GC who don’t have an employer can do C2C with us provided that he has a company registered on his own
name.

What all visa can do W2?


All visa Except H1B and L1.
USC , GC, H4EAD, L2EAD,GCEAD , OPTEAD.

What is F1 Visa?
It is a student visa which is given to Student who takes admission in USA for Bachelors, Masters or PHD.

What is F2 Visa?
Spouses and Children under the age of twenty-one (21).

What is CPT?
Curricular Practical Training (CPT) is temporary employment authorization for F-1 visa non-immigrant foreign
students in the United States while enrolled in a college-level degree program.
Consultant/Candidate can work for 20 hours a week.

What is OPT-EAD visa?
Optional Practical Training (OPT) is a program that international students with an F-1 visa in the United States to
work.F-1 visa students are eligible for OPT after completing their first academic year.
In OPT candidate can work for 8hrs/Day and 40hrs/week. It has validity for 1 Year. Code is C03B.

What is STEM-EAD Visa?


An extension of 24 months is allowed to who have completed degrees in certain science, technology, engineering
and mathematics (STEM)
It has a validity of 2 Yrs and code is C03C.

What is H1B Visa?


H1B is a Work Visa which has to be applied by employer. IT has a total validity of 6 Yrs which can be extended twice
in the form of 3 ,2 ,1. This Visa is granted through Lottery System as well as H1B Filing process as well.

How many Types of H1B are there?


I797-A = It is basically the change of status. The candidate need to be present in USA on some different Visa

I797-B = If the candidate is in his/her home country and the employer apply of his H1B then USA government will
Grant I797-B

I797-C = When I797 is Approved then US Government will Give an approval receipt which is called I797-C

What is H4 EAD?
H4-EAD is a dependent visa and it is granted to the spouse of H1B Visa Holder.
It has a validity same as H1B.

What is L1 Visa? (We cannot submit L1 candidate for any job vacancy)
L1 Nothing but Intra company transfer visa. If a company has office in india and It is sending his employee to US
branch then he will get an L1 Visa. It can be only employed by the employer. L1 Visa holder cannot do visa transfer in
USA/He cannot change employer in USA.
What is L2EAD?
L2EAD is a dependent Visa. It is granted to the spouse of L1 Visa Holder. It will have validity same as L1.

What is TN Visa?
TN visa is nothing but Treaty Nafta.
1. TN1 is basically of Canadian Citizen.
2. TN2 is basically for Mexican Citizen.

What is USC ?
USC (united States Citizen) These are local citizen who are born and born and brought up in USA.

What is GC?
Green Card = The USCIS gives a Permanent Residence/Green Card to a foreign national, to live and work
permanently in the United States.
To become an immigrant = An immigrant petition filed either by a relative or an employer must be approved by the
USCIS (U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services).

Q1. Tell me something about yourself.
Ans. I am Sachin and I belongs to bihar , I pursued Bachelors of technology with specialization in computer science. I
Completed 10th and 12th from CBSE Board. I have couple of hobbies such as football, reading newspaper and Surfing
Internet. So far my family background is concerned I have 4 members in my family my father is an exsevicemen from
army and my mother is housewife.
If I talk about my experience, I have been working as a Technical recruiter from past 1 Year with Pheonix
Technologies (Milpitas CA).
Currently I am working with 1 implementation partner TCS (OR 1 Direct Client NV energy Located in Las Vegas
Nevada / 1 Direct client Calance Software Located in Dallas TX / 1 Direct client Shutterfly Located in Redwood City
,California).
As per the ratio is concerned I am serving 60% on W2 and 40% on C2C requirement. I work on typical requirement
such as Front end Developers, Backend Developers, Fullstack Developers , Business Analyst (BA), Project Manager
(PM), Program Manager (PM), Quality Analyst (QA), Automation Tester , Mainframe Developers(Cobol), .NET
Developers, Bigdata/Hadoop Developer, Devops Engineer(Cloud), AWS Engineer, Salesforce Developers, Tableau
Developer, ETL/Informatica Developer and So on.

Q2. How do you screen a profile?


Screening comes after finding the right resume. Generally I follow 4 steps in order to screen a profile.

1. I Google few interview questions regarding the skillset and ask those questions from the candidate, to check
their confidence level and communication skills. If the candidate is answering very confidentally then he
might be a genuine candidate, later I ask about his roles and responsibilities in last project. A fake candidate
will just read out his resume but a genuine candidate will give you minute details which is not present in
their resume.
2. I ask their education year and masters year and when did he enter USA on which Visa so that I can clarify
about total Exp of candidate.
3. I ask for their passport no to check the travel History from I94 Website.
4. I ask for their professional references with professional Email ID.
Q3.What challenges you face in your career so far?
The basic challenge i face in recruitment industry is the fake candidate. Most of the IT consultants are OPT’s
pretending to be H1B $ GC EAD. That’s a big challenge but you need to screen them well. If you screen them well you
can easily findout a genuine profile.
Again if it is a W2requirement you need to look for USC and GC candidate and its tough to get becoz most of the
time they are on voice mail and usually they don’t pickup unknown direct.

Q3. How many submission you Make in a day?


If it is a Full Time or W2 Requirement, Then i try to submit 2-3 submissions per day, and if it is a C2C Requirement i
try to submit 3-4 submissions a day. If it’s a critical requirement I try to submit profile accordingly with matching
skills. I try to submit only local candidate or who is willing to relocate and mostly GC /USC citizen /H4EAD/L2EAD.

Q4. How many requirements you get in a day?


I usually get 5-6 requirements in a day.

Monster, Dice, Techfetch, Linkedin and Careerbuilder etc

Depends upon the experience.

Q8.Average of how many calls you do daily?


I usually do 50-60 calls a day depends upon the type of requirements.

Q9.How will you start your work? / what is your day to day activities?
 After entering into office Once i start my computer i will get open requirements from my account manager
and i will start analysing the requirement clearly.
 If i will get any doubts regarding the requirement, i will directly ask my Account manager to clear my doubts.
 After getting clear idea about the requirement, i will start working on the requirement.
 If it is W2 requirement i will prepare the Boolean search string according to the requirement, then i will copy
search string from my notepad and will paste it on the job boards like Monster and CareerBuilder or Jobdiva.
 If I’m getting good profiles, then that will be fine i will pick up the best profile and i will try to reach that
consultant, and i will communicate with that particular consultant through phone by explaining about the
Job Description clearly,
 I will discuss about the JD with consultant. If he is comfortable with the requirement and i will discuss about
rate on W2 send a mail to him to collect required details to do submission,
 After getting complete details, then i will forward that profile to client through my A/C Manager.
 If it is a C2C Requirement, I will send mails to my own thousands of employers database, if i won't get any
profile from my own database, then parellely i will try to find the profile using Dice, monster, Carrier Builder,
in final case i will prefer portals to find out the profiles, then i will screen that consultants then i will submit
the best profile to my client through my A/C Manager.
 After submitting profile, I will interact with my manager daily after submitting a profile &i will take feedback
from him every time. i will do follow up, till candidate got Rejected/Interviewed/Placed.
 At the End of the day I will send EOD report to my account Manager.

Q11. How many PO’s You have got so far ? Can you please list out your placement details?
You have to explain clearly about your placement details along with client details, duration, type of requirement, and
the rate we submitted.
