What is Outlook express?
In the Start Menu you will find the option i.e. Outlook
Express, It is medium of sending and receiving the emails.
Once the domain ID is configured in the Outlook Express
you can send and receives all the emails sent to your
professional email ID in Outlook Express. It’s the fastest
mode of exchanging the emails.
Recruiters use outlook express to send emails to
consultants and employers for the job openings and
recruiters receive and send all the responses through
outlook express.
How to create folders in outlook?

In outlook express you can create folders. Right click on the Local folders you will see New
Folder option. You can name it.

How to Create a rule?


In the outlook express there is a Message option you will find Create rule for
Messages. Click on the email which you want to create a rule then click on the
Create rule for Messages a New window open you have couple of options click on:
1. Select the conditions for your rules:
Click on : Where the from line contains people

2. Select the actions for your rule:


Click on: Move it to specified folder

3. Rule Description: You will see a highlight specified word. Click on it and select the folder
name. You rule will be created.
What is a default signature setting?
In the outlook express there is a tools option you
will find the option signature and for every email
you send through outlook express you can set a
default signature, and when you compose mail
each time in outlook express, automatically the
default signature appears in each mail.
What is Office Communicator?
It’s a internal database to be used by every employee of
MindQuestTechnologies. It provides you with all kind of
resumes which you can find on monster, dice or other
job portal.
Its our internal source of communication
• Recruitment is the process whereby the Recruiter fills the position according to
the Client needs i.e.; matching the skill sets mentioned in the requirement.
Placing or recruiting the consultants outside India is called International
recruiting.
• It is a payment procedure for the Consultant for his services rendered to the
client mostly; C2C agreement is done with the employers for their Consultants
who had H1B Visa. It is an all inclusive payment procedure.
• It is also an payment procedure mostly 10-99 procedure is applicable by the
Green Card Holders and US Citizens. It is an all Exclusive payment term where
by the Consultant has to bear for his State & Federal Taxes.
• W2 contract is also a payment procedure where by the recruiting company has
to bear for all his taxes such as State tax and federal taxes it is an all inclusive
payment procedure.
• C2C is an all inclusive payment procedure where by the consultant is paid for his
services rendered mostly the employer will be hiring the consultants bearing with
H1B Visa.1099 is also a payment procedure where by the consultant is paid for
his services rendered it is an all exclusive payment procedure where by the
consultant is liable for all his taxes.
• If the Consultant is filing for the Green card during his H1b period he is eligible
for the Green Card.
• The Citizens who are born and bought up in US are called US Citizens.
• The Companies who will be in need of Consultants to fill the vacant positions in
there organizations are known as Clients.
• The persons who will be in need of job and there by submitted by the recruiter
are considered as Consultants.
• The persons who hire the H1b Visa holders and submit them to the recruiters on
behalf of their companies are termed as Employers.
• The Companies who will be in need of Consultants to fill the vacant positions in
there organizations are known as Clients.
• The Companies or persons who will forward the requirement to us or who will be
in touch with the Clients are termed as Vendors.
• After getting the requirement briefly check the requirement with skill sets and
start check the requirement with the database if it’s not getting in the database
start mailing to vendors and calling in the job portals.

What is a Requirement?
A good set of requirements is needed for any project, especially computer
system projects, to be successful. This is where many projects fail, in that they
do not specify correctly what the system should do. In fact many systems
have just been given a deadline for delivery, a budget to spend, and a vague
notion of what it should do.
The root of this problem is:
• Computer systems developers rarely have as good an idea of how a
business runs and should run, compared with a business user,
• Business users have little idea of what a computer system could achieve for
them.
As a result paralysis sets in and business management time is concentrated
on meeting timescales and budgets, rather than what is going to be delivered.
What is Job Description ?
A job description is a list of the general tasks, or functions, and responsibilities of a position. Typically, it
also includes to whom the position reports, specifications such as the qualifications needed by the person
in the job, salary range for the position, etc. A job description is usually developed by conducting a job
analysis, which includes examining the tasks and sequences of tasks necessary to perform the job. The
analysis looks at the areas of knowledge and skills needed by the job. Note that a role is the set of
responsibilities or expected results associated with a job. A job usually includes several roles. The job
description might be broadened to form a person specification. An alternate terminology used under the
UN system is Terms of reference (TOR).
Possible job description items
• Job title
A specific designation of a post within an organization, normally associated with a job description that
details the tasks and responsibilities that go with it. With the rise of online job search engines, job titles
became increasingly important. In many cases, this causes job title inflation.[2]
• Job duties
may also be called Tasks Performed; may be as lengthy as necessary to fully describe each essential duty
or responsibility which comprises the employee's functions, generally starting with principal duties.
• Roles and responsibilities
This includes supervisory level, managerial requirements, and any working relationships and may also
include your corporate/individual objectives.
• Job specifications or qualifications
• Key role interactions
• Salary and benefits
Describes the compensation type, hourly or salary, and amount. In addition it includes both standard
benefits and any fringe benefits associated with the position.
H1B:
• The regulations define a “specialty occupation” as requiring theoretical and
practical application but not limited to, architecture, engineering, mathematics,
Work Authorization to work in USA for a Minimum of Six Years
• physical sciences theology, and the arts, and requiring the attainment of a
bachelor’s degree or its equivalent as a minimum. Likewise, the foreign worker
must possess at least a bachelor’s degree or its equivalent and state licensure, if
required to practice in that field. H-1B work-authorization is strictly limited to
employment by the sponsoring employer.
• The duration of stay is three years, extendable to six. An exception to maximum
length of stay applies in certain circumstances:
• One-year extensions if a labor certification application has been filed and is
pending for at least 365 days; and
• Three-year extensions if an I-140 has been approved.
• social sciences, medicine and health, education, law, accounting, business
specialties.
GC (Green Card)
• A United States Permanent Resident Card, also known as a green card, is an
identification card attesting to the permanent resident status of an alien in the
United States of America. Green card also refers to an immigration process of
becoming a permanent resident. The green card serves as proof that its holder, a
Lawful Permanent Resident (LPR), has been officially granted immigration
benefits, which include permission to reside and take employment in the USA. The
holder must maintain permanent resident status, and can be removed from the US
if certain conditions of this status are not met.
• Green cards were formerly issued by the Immigration and Naturalization Service
(INS). That agency has been absorbed into and replaced by the Bureau of
Citizenship and Immigration Services (BCIS), part of the Department of Homeland
Security (DHS). Shortly after re-organization BCIS was re-named to U.S.
Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
• An alien with a green card application can obtain two important permits while the
case is pending. The first is a temporary work permit known as the Employment
Authorization Document (EAD), which allows the alien to take employment in the
United States. The second is a temporary travel document, advance parole, which
allows the alien to re-enter the United States. Both permits confer benefits that are
independent of any existing status granted to the alien. For example, the alien
might already have permission to work in the United States under an H1-B visa.
US Citizen:
• All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction
thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside. No
state shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or
immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any state deprive any person
of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person
within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws. - XIV Amendment to the
U.S. Constitution
• Citizenship is one of the most coveted gifts that the U.S. government can bestow,
and the most important immigration benefit that USCIS can grant.  Most people
become U.S. citizens in one of two ways:
• By birth, either within the territory of the United States or to U.S. citizen parents,
or
• By Naturalization.
Corp-2-Corp:
• Corp to Corp or C2C or Corporation to corporation. This is a payment term
which is applicable for H1B Consultants. In this pay term the Employer
Company has to take care of the relocation charges, Taxes and the
accommodation of the consultant.
• Corp-to-Corp means that your client, a corporation, pays your business, which is
organized as a corporation, for the services rendered by you
• Payment terms are Net 30, (from date of invoice).
24) Who is an employer?
Employer is a person who holds H1 B visa of the consultant. If an
engineer or developer wants to work in US he need to have H1 B
Visa and the company who sponsor’s the visa is called as Employer
Company.
They might be paying the consultant on hourly, percentage or per
annum salary basis, but employer earns only on hourly basis.
The employer company who holds H1 B Visa of consultant that
particular consultant is called as W2 (their Payroll) consultant.
H1 B Visa holder are those consultants who are interested working
in USA, they might be from any Country. Without H1 B Visa a
consultant from other country is not authorized to work for any
employer in the country.
1099:
If GC / USC want to do 1099
• (When a person is paid on the form, 1099-misc, all money earned by the
individual is paid on an untaxed basis. It is then the responsibility of the
individual to file and pay the appropriate taxes. These taxes can be owed to
Federal, State and Local governments. Workers compensation and
unemployment issues also must be addressed independently. )
• Payment terms are Net 30, (from date of invoice).
W2:
• If GC / USC want to do W2
• (When a person is paid on the form W-2, the employer automatically withholds
and pays all of the necessary employee income taxes as required by the IRS.
These taxes include: Federal Income Tax, State Income Tax, and FICA (Social
Security and Medicare).)
• Payment terms are Net 30, (from date of invoice).

If GC / USC want to do CTC (Own Company)


• Must have $1M in General Liability Insurance?
• Must have $1M in Professional Liability?
• Payment terms are Net 30, (from date of invoice).
What is a resume ?
A resume is a brief document which highlights an individual's experience, qualifications, and skills, in the hopes of
securing a job interview. In some regions of the world, the term “resume” is used interchangeably with
Curriculum Vitae (CV), while in other places, the two terms refer to very different documents. A resume is a
standard inclusion with any job or internship application, and it may be requested for applicants into graduate
and professional schools as well. As a general rule, a resume is only one page long, although special circumstances
may call for an additional page.
A good resume contains basic information about the applicant, organized in a way which is easy for the reader to
comprehend. Clear contact information is usually at the top, followed by work experience, educational
achievements, a list of skills, relevant certifications or awards, and contact information for references, though not
necessarily in this order. The organization of a resume is a fine art, and it requires some work to create a strong
resume. In some cases, people ask for professional help when assembling a resume.
There are several different philosophical approaches to a resume. All are designed to sell the resume writer in
some way or another, and by convention many job seekers tailor their resumes to a specific job or employer. This
tailoring allows job candidates to bring out their strongest skills for an individual position. Some job seekers also
add deeper levels of personalization, designed to humanize them to potential employers. Some employers
actively request more personal information, such as hobbies or favorite vacations spots, in an attempt to learn
more about the psychology of the applicant.
In some cases, a resume is arranged strictly chronologically. In this instance, educational accomplishments will
usually lead, followed by employment history. A chronological resume often includes all work experience, since
gaps will be easier to spot. In other cases, a resume is organized by relevance, with blocks of similar information
clumped together. A resume put together in this fashion usually features only relevant work experience for a
position, so that potential employers do not have to slog through the applicant's entire life history.
In nations which distinguish between a resume and a CV, a CV is much more detailed. The CV will include all life
accomplishments ranging from awards earned in high school to journal publications, in chronological order. In the
academic community, CVs are very common. They allow applicants to provide more information about
themselves, and they may be several pages long.
How to qualify a resume for submission???
• Clients: Try to review the resume and see if the candidate has worked with
good clients in his career (experience). If you observe all the names in his resume
consist of clients which are unknown, than you can think It can be a fake resume
Ex names of good clients: IBM, Accenture, Delliote, Bank of America, BCBS,
UHS, and several other famous names. Look for these you resume will have better
chances of getting placed.
• Education: Look for his education background and see if it is matching with
our requirement. If it is ask for how much percentage you got in MBA or what so
ever he has done.
• Experience:
This is very important while you screen a resume. Check below sections.
• Total IT Experience whether it matches our requirement?
• Does the consultant have all the required skills?
• Try to analysis his Job responsibilities rather than his job title.
• If the client requires a financial candidate. Look whether or not he worked with a
financial client in his last project or best last but one project? Don’t submit a
candidate if he/she is not from same domain in his last or but one last project.
Same implies while you look for HealthCare resumes.
• Check whether he/she matches with client’s job description.
• Skills: Please look out whether or not the candidate has all the required
skills listed in resume in his last or last but one project. If not than he is not a
match for requirement.

• Location: Try to hunt for local candidates first. Because local candidates
are given more importance then non-local. While analysising local candidate
see whether they have the zip codes (Place where they life its code number)
and ask whether he can come in for a F2F interview without a telephonic round.
(If this way you have a better chance to know if he is local or not?)
• On Call: Basically while talking with a candidate you can understand how
excited or eager he is for a new job. While you are having a conversation if he
is confuse & hesitance about this position then please don’t push him. Try to
qualify his comm. Skills by asking him questions about his last job. Which will
make your conversation to last for more than 5 minutes and you can analysis
whether it’s difficult to understand his longer conversations as an interview
last’s for long time?
