Baku / 3 days roughly

Stay – Hilton, Baku (centrally located) or Marriott (new property by the Corniche)

Moving around – We did not rent a car and mostly took a cab, metro and even public bus sometimes. For
travelling within towns, you can use inter-city buses; they are nice AC buses or even take a train!!

Things to see –

- Old Baku (there are some palaces and towers here),

- Highland Park (beautiful during the day for pictures and at night has a very nice view of Flame towers with
the light show; you can either walk and climb up the stair – would take 20 minutes or take the funicular)
- Little Venice (but boats are running very sporadically, would suggest eating at Switch to enjoy the view)
- Heydar Aliyev Art Center
- Fountain Square (lot of nice restaurants and shops, Europe feels basically but go at night)

Things to see a little outside Baku/ would have to be a full day trip and rent a taxi/ take a package and try to take
a tour guide if you are interested in history
- Mud volcanoes
- Gobustan
- Yanar Dag
- Ateshgah Fire Temple

Sheiki / 2 days or more

Stay - Marxal Resort, the other hotels are absolutely not worth it – this one is in the middle of mountains and has
a great atmosphere; plus the hotel is very self-sufficient, it has a lot of restaurants, activities

Reaching Sheiki – You can take the bus which takes about 5 hours I think or the train

Moving around – Taxi or ask the hotel to arrange a mini tour for you

Things to see/ would advise taking a guide –

- Caravanserai
- Winter Palace
- Palace of Sheiki Khans
