While you read a story about butterfly metamorphosis, the
students will hold up the appropriate puppet as each stage of the life cycle is mentioned.
Materials Needed:
• Images of the 4 stages of the metamorphosis on card stock
• 4 strips of paper to form the ring band (¼” x 2”) • Scissors • Magic tape or rubber cement
Step by Step:
• Cut out the 4 images along the outside edge
• Tape or glue a circle to the center of a strip of paper for each one • Tape or glue the ends of each strip to create the ring’s band. The band needs to be able to slip on and off the child’s finger.
