T-Hub 2.0
 The facility will support over 2,000 startups under one roof,
with a total built-up area of 5,82,689 square feet, making it
the world’s largest innovation campus.

 T-Hub will provide young Indians to launch their startups


with a collaborative innovation ecosystem.

 Designed by Korean company Space, the spacecraft-


inspired facility is a 10-story building

 Built with an investment of Rs 400 crore, this building will not


only have dedicated spaces for entrepreneurs, but will also
provide direct communication between investors and
young innovators.
 Established in 2015, T-Hub (Technology Hub) is an
innovation hub and ecosystem enabler based out of
Hyderabad.

 It is a public private partnership between the state


government and three premier academic institutes —-
the International Institute of Information Technology-
Hyderabad (IIIT-H), the Indian School of Business (ISB),
and the National Academy of Legal Studies and
Research (NALSAR) University of Law.

India’s first display fabrication unit to
come up in Hyderabad
 The Telangana government, on Sunday,
signed an MoU with Bengaluru-based
Elest for setting up India’s first display
fabrication unit in Hyderabad with an
investment of ₹24,000 crore.

 The Display FAB unit would be set up


under the India Semiconductor Mission
Programme of the Ministry of Electronics
& Information Technology, Government
of India.

 In Telangana, the TS iPass scheme


introduced in the state has created about 5
lakh direct employment and equal number
of indirect job opportunities and also
attracted investments over 4.1 trillion rupees.
TSRTC to use Android-based ticket
issuing machines
 The Telangana State Road Transport
Corporation will soon move to Android-based
ticket issuing machines. The move is
expected to allow passengers to book tickets
15 minutes before departure of buses.

 Called i-TIMS, the move is touted as


passenger-friendly and is expected to save
time.

 As many as 928 i-TIMS will be procured.


 These machines will be operated on long-distance
routes where the online bookings and reservations
are being closed an hour before departure.

 Payments can be made using debit and credit


cards, and by means of UPI.

 Information about the number of vacant seats as


well as the estimated time of arrival of buses will
also be made available to passengers.

 In another development, the TSRTC is also planning


to roll out smart cards for passengers.
Flipkart inks MoU with Telangana’s SERP to enable market
access for FPOs, SHGs
 Through this partnership, Flipkart aims to
empower local farming communities and
SHGs of Telangana by providing pan-India
market access to more than 400 million
customers on its platform.

 As part of this collaboration, Flipkart will


directly source premium quality pulses, millets,
staples, and spices from the local farmers,
contributing to improve income and business
growth.
 Flipkart will further engage with these communities
through virtual and on-ground training and capacity-
building initiatives to provide them with an
understanding of the quality, pricing, and licenses
required to be a part of the FPO ecosystem.

 SERP will extend support with infrastructure and


necessary approvals to take this partnership forward.

Columnar Basalt site found in Asifabad’s
Karameri
• Columnar basalt have been found in
Adilabad, Konkan, Madhya Pradesh and
other parts of the country, the discovery in
Asifabad adds to the State’s geological
diversity.

• From the batholith of Bhongir to the 2,500


million-year-old rock formations surrounding
the city of Hyderabad, to the 65 million-year-
old basaltic formation, the State of Telangana
has a full spread of geological attractions.

Adhikara Nandi
 In a rare finding, an ‘Adhikara Nandi’ idol was found
at the Kasavagu Anjaneya Swamy temple in
Mittapalli.

 The idol is in sitting posture with four hands — an axe


(parashuvu) and an animal in one set of hands, and
‘Varada Hastam’ in right hand and ‘Adhikara
Dandam’ in the left hand in the other set.

 It was stated that this Siva temple was constructed


by Sidda Somaji from Maharashtra, who was
brought here by the Qutub Shahis and ruled 40
villages as jagirdar.
Telangana announces Rs 2 Crore Cash,
residential plot to Nikhat Zareen, Esha Singh
 The State government announced 2 crore
rupees cash prize each to Nikhat Zareen
for clinching Gold medal in the recently
held Women’s world Boxing
Championship in Turkey and Esha Singh
who won gold medal in ISSF Junior World
Cup Shooting event in Germany.
 Apart from cash prize, the government also
decided to allot residential plots to the two sports
persons at Banjara Hills or Jubilee Hills.

 In a similar development, the state government


has issued orders to present one Crore rupees
cash award to Kinnera Metla Artist, Padma Shri D.
Mogulaiah He has been assured for allotment of a
residential plot too.

Manufacturing Policy (NMP) in 2011

with an objective to enhance the share

of manufacturing in GDP to 25% and to

generate 100 million jobs over a

decade.
