Ken leaves the company

1. In your view, why Ken is perceiving his organization/job this way?

Ken is perceiving his organization this because of his job dissatisfaction, he leaves the
company which shows the dissatisfaction through behavior. Here, ken has decided to
leave the job because he has not been given a proper feedback on his performance which
is an important aspect when it comes to the employee growth and development. Most of
the times he had felt like an interchangeable factor of the organization.
According to me. Ken has perceiving his job this way because he has had a very low job
involvement in the organization which has made him think that he is not working per his
job capabilities or working less than his capabilities. As, the company has not shown any
transparency towards their employees ken may have felt that the organization is not
committed towards him and employees which created a job satisfaction and have
weakened the ken relationship with the organization.

2. Do you think Ken's self-esteem and degree of self-monitoring has to do anything with
him leaving the job?
Yes, I do think Ken's self-esteem and degree of self-monitoring has to do anything with
him leaving the job as self-esteem is related with the job involvement, as he works as a
writer in thus company he feels that he has not worked according to his capabilities
leading to job dissatisfaction. Ken have high self-esteem as he doesn’t considered his
work performance level is important to his self-worth. Employee having a high level of
job involvement is proved to have cared much for their job and results in less employee
turnover. As, ken really cares about his job involvement but this job is not letting him to
involve much which have led to him leaving the job.
Now talking about self-monitoring, ken has less degree of self-monitoring which have
affect his decision of leaving the job. This shows that he shows is true attitude in every
situation just like in this job and have higher behavioral consistency between who he is
and what he does. This also means that he have low ability to adjust to situational factors.

3. Why do you think ken is showing such behavior?
Ken is showing such behavior due to the due to the low employee retention. He believes
that the company is not providing him with the proper resources and required feedback to
do his job. The company is rather not paying much attention towards the employee and
not been able to reap the benefit from the employees including Ken.
Maybe, due to his personality and his way of perception we is behaving this way.
Perceiving according to his observation, beliefs and judgments.
